I know this picture is rather minimalistic. But I wanted to show you the beautiful texture of the sand in Rauðisandur. And for those of you who don't live in Iceland... beaches like this are very rare here. Most of them have black sand, not red, and only very few and very brave people bathe in the sea, which is very cold.

I wanted to try some different stuff w/ PS adding textures. Feedback is welcome but don't hammer on me to hard.

This image is actually a couple of years old. I was never really happy with the treatment , so I reprocessed it for part 2 of the Smithville Water Tower Trilogy. If I didn't include this one, I would only have 2 shots of the water tower and then I couldn't call it a trilogy. It sounds so much better than just a pair.

Aerial shot from the helicopter this time over the West Rim of the Grand Canyon, the textures and shapes carved by the Colorado are quite amazing
