I am no longer sure whose texture this is. I know it is not my own, but it was free under creative commons. It's PROBABLY Lenabem-Anna, though :-) Or maybe Skeletal Mess? I made the image before I knew it was proper to give credit to the texture artist. I know better now, though.

My good friend here on Flickr, Josephine Dahl, has taught me all about textures. Here an example of my first attempts.
These are growing in my back yard. Our area grows a lot of hops, used in beer and medicines...mostly beer. The harvesting process is pretty interesting.
Used a Flypaper Edge.

Just some fun with abstract bokeh and a texture. HBW everyone :)
Altered the white balance on this one from As Shot to Auto and I liked what it did to the colors. Makes it look a bit different from my other ones.
White Lines: Or a larger view on black
Ticket to ride, white line highway
Tell all your friends, they can go my way
Pay your toll, sell your soul
Pound for pound costs more than gold
The longer you stay, the more you pay
My white lines go a long way
Either up your nose or through your vein
With nothin to gain except killin’ your brain

SERIES:
I'm a member of the non-profit society, The Barbados Photographic Society. Part of our activities for members includes having field trips for members to go around the island exploring. Sometimes, our field trips veer off into strange territory....
After I ended my short documentary series on the "Fire at Mangrove Pond", my friend and I headed off to our second location. My photography club had an invite and a challenge from one of our members to shoot within his backyard compound. Such a small space but rather rewarding. I was trying to do two thing at once: Shooting still abstracts and shooting video to practice my technique.
Let's get back to rough textures.I just happened to be scouting around back making a closing portion of my wind video when I noticed that the sun had climbed high enough to be hitting this highly textured object. I'm sure you can tell what it is. What does it remind of?
Fun Fact: This image went from one texture to another when someone ordered a canvas print version from me.
Feel free to comment below with your ideas on what some of these things are. Good luck!
