This is Antioch Schoolhouse # 77 in Clark Co. Mo. Built in 1904. Closed in 1965. This bell tower was the second to last original bell tower left in our county. Now it is on my Happy Hill Schoolhouse ! A friend and me lowered it in a pick up 5 years ago, not as easy as it sounds. The roof was very weak and since has caved in. It has a bell now and is the only country schoolhouse with a ringing bell. Kids love it. I salvaged haf its wainscoating, 2 shelves with coat racks that fit our school, a light, and even the opening in the ceiling for the bells rope so it can be rang inside. This is an earlier digital with white out sky doctored up with texture.

Thanks to Rubyblossom for pre-made background
This is the second shot of 3 that I am going to use based around previous image of dead tree, this was taken just the other side of tree, I like the clouds which were more prominent and work well here I think, the field did not have much going on such as good leading lines but I quite like the texture of the earth & trees.
Hope you like
When talking about photography texture refers to the visual quality of the surface of an object, revealed through variances in shape, tone and color depth. Texture brings life and vibrance to images that would otherwise appear flat and uninspiring.

The rope belongs to our doggy--she loves to chew and play with it. The background is a scarf of mine. I wanted to play with texture.
These were lovely but didn't look so good once out of the camera...adding the texture seemed to give them another life.

I had to try some textures and kinda liked how this turned out. :-) Happy weekend!!
Our internet saga continues...Well, the cable guy found the issue is at the main, not just the wiring in our house. We now register a negative 4. Up from a negative 7 last week!! Yippie! :-(
I hear fiber optics is coming our way soon.
I shot this on a cloudy spring day last year and have used it in so many different works, hopefully can be of use to someone else Added my own grungy border, if you'd like the shot of the clouds without the texture, send me a flickrmail, would be glad to provide it.
Credit me if used and it would be nice to leave a link or comment so I could take a look (and fave) the work done with it.
Feedback would be great :)
