此剧源出战国时代楚汉相争的故事。西楚霸王项羽被困垓下。项羽知大势已去，抚骓长叹；虞姬拔剑作舞。时汉军攻急，虞姬恐误其行，持剑自刎，以绝项羽恋念。项羽遂领兵出阵，战败，自刎乌江。楚终为汉所灭。
2. Peking Opera episode from “Farewell, My Concubine” Performer Juan Xu; Director Shuyuan LiIt’s a heart wrenching story of love and selfsacrifice in the Warring States period in ancient China. Lady Yu plays the sword to try to cheer up King Xiang Yu. When the enemy attacks again, Xiang bids farewell to Yu Ji who refuses to leave with him. Yu dances the sword dance before putting the sword to her own throat.

Shu Pui Cheung introduced Hung Gar Kung Fu to Philadelphia in 1984. Hung Gar is a traditional style of Chinese martial arts, famous for its powerful techniques inspired by five animals: the tiger, crane, dragon, snake, and leopard. One of the most joyful traditions connected to Chinese martial arts is the Lion Dance, performed to bring prosperity, drive away bad spirits, and welcome good luck!

Ngô Thanh Nhàn, Ph.D. Linguistics, is a fellow in Vietnamese Nôm and Folk Music Studies of the Center for Vietnamese Philosophy, Culture & Society of Temple University. Dr. Nhàn is a coordinator of the Vietnam Agent Orange Relief & Responsibility Campaign. He currently teaches đàn tranh [Vietnamese 16-string zither] at the Folk Arts–Cultural Treasures Charter School with the support of Asian Americans United. Dr. Nhàn also organizes regular hybrid đàn tranh intensive classes under Manhattan Academy of Music and Language, Inc. in New York hosted by Mekong NYC. Dr. Nhàn will perform with Fiona Zhao.

The Philadelphia Suns have performed traditional Chinese Lion Dance since our inception in 1972. This 1000-year-old cultural dance has been passed through the generations as part of martial arts training. Traditionally performed at festive occasions like grand openings, weddings, parties and other special events, a lion dance is performed to scare away evil spirits. Today, lion dances have taken on the form of a celebratory dance where acrobatic movements are performed to rhythmic music of drum, gong, and cymbal. Our team is composed of volunteers and all funds go towards our programs.

My last card (sad) as I won't have anymore time for awhile...back to being busy at work. This has been fun - my 1st time ever posting on the web. Thank you for all your comments - they have been encouraging and helpful. This card is made for a friend who loves to travel. It's not very evident on the pic, I stamped the top edge of card then used Tim Holtz's foam applicator & applied 3 different inks. Versamark it, and heat emboss with clear embossing powder. Makes the stamped image glossy.

Pen and Wash Technique
The original image of this was barely readable until I used the magic that is the Pen and Wash Technique.
The is a Welsh Tale that certainly grips the heart. Gelert's Grave and remains of the settlement in which the family lived are amazing and urge anyone visiting the area to visit this place.
Photographic techniques capture electromagnetic wavelengths beyond human vision, revealing features invisible to the naked eye. These signals are processed into interpretable forms using methods like color mapping.
Pink lacks a specific electromagnetic wavelength, while grey poses a limitation due to its representation of only intensity—a blend of light and dark without spectral specificity. Imaging techniques reliant on spectral variation produce identical results for greyscale images unless non-visible data is present. Deviations from this uniformity may indicate errors, misinterpretations, or unknown phenomena.
Contention persists over analytical debates, including dismissible claims like Van Allen belt dangers and contested evidence of lunar mirrors. The precision of laser reflections targeting a moving 3x3-foot marker on the Moon highlights technical skill but often fails to resolve skepticism. For instance, a 0.1° shift moves a laser spot 670 km across the Moon's surface.
Forensic analysis (2022, 2023) of Apollo 11–17 photographs assessed authenticity claims. Images of humans in space, Earth, and the Moon's distant views were validated, but Moon landing visuals showed variations, suggesting diverse techniques may have replicated certain elements.
PEMi (Photoelectromagnetic Image) software enhances forensic analysis by differentiating natural and artificial light sources, revealing hidden features. Each PEMi-ID links to original sources, ensuring traceability and comparison.

Underdeveloped an less underexposured negative (low/thin contrast) combined with a translucent paper (of the same contrast/transparency as the negative) in a sandwich. Hard graded bromid paper (Fotokemika Bromal).
Using the Orton technique. Slightly over cooked, there are a few artefacts in the light areas in the background, had to compromise to get the foreground light enough. Using this technique combined with a bit of saturation & contrast really helps to bring out the colours in scenes like this. Not to everyone’s taste, but I like.

Photographic techniques capture electromagnetic wavelengths beyond human vision, revealing features invisible to the naked eye. These signals are processed into interpretable forms using methods like color mapping.
Pink lacks a specific electromagnetic wavelength, while grey poses a limitation due to its representation of only intensity—a blend of light and dark without spectral specificity. Imaging techniques reliant on spectral variation produce identical results for greyscale images unless non-visible data is present. Deviations from this uniformity may indicate errors, misinterpretations, or unknown phenomena.
Contention persists over analytical debates, including dismissible claims like Van Allen belt dangers and contested evidence of lunar mirrors. The precision of laser reflections targeting a moving 3x3-foot marker on the Moon highlights technical skill but often fails to resolve skepticism. For instance, a 0.1° shift moves a laser spot 670 km across the Moon's surface.
Forensic analysis (2022, 2023) of Apollo 11–17 photographs assessed authenticity claims. Images of humans in space, Earth, and the Moon's distant views were validated, but Moon landing visuals showed variations, suggesting diverse techniques may have replicated certain elements.
PEMi (Photoelectromagnetic Image) software enhances forensic analysis by differentiating natural and artificial light sources, revealing hidden features. Each PEMi-ID links to original sources, ensuring traceability and comparison.

From the fabric dying class, the techniques used were, starting from the left:
1 - graduated colors - 6 colors using various amounts of turquoise and fuchsia
2 - two silk scarfs poured on with:
a. Turquoise & navy
b. Turquoise & red
3 - Poured on fabric in random back & forth motion, with Turquoise, Fuchsia
4 - Poured on fabric in a swirl with Turquoise & Red
5 - Fabric was folded, valley & mountain folds, then clothes pinned together in a long strip. Fuchsia & Green were alternately dripped on between the clothes pins for that geometric look

One of my favorite techniques in post processing is the shadow/highlight function in Photoshop.
There are times when you've got the perfect shot except that lighting is NOT your friend. While visiting a small park on my trip to Florida a few weeks back, Mr. Pelican dropped in for a visit. He was several yards away from me but his perch was such that the light was behind him and if I exposed for his face I would over-expose the water. What to do? Snap it for the water and fix our little guy later by changing the shadow and highlights in PS.
This does not always work well (sometimes it looks totally fake) but in this case is was the perfect solution to my problem.
