I recently purchased four of the Echo Base kit at 40% off (minifigs, weapons, tauntauns, and a few other parts are in my Bricklink store - tell me I sent you and I'll give you 5% off). Once I started looking at the parts I'm keeping out of these, I realized I had a decent start for some mecha (even though I've never tried building in that genre before). Here are the resulting ideas. Most of these aren't great, but maybe some of the techniques are useful to someone else.

Also, more macro-mode photography practice. Just how many lights am I supposed to need to make these look good? These were taken with two focused lights overhead and another behind me.

Take note of the great technique here, getting his opponent's jersey over his head, thus blinding him to the coming pummeling.

Biuletyn Stowarzyszenia Techniki Morskiej. Bulletin de l’Association Technique Maritime. 1891 r., nr 2

180,00zł

Stowarzyszenie Techniki Morskiej (Association Technique Maritime – ATM, w roku 1924 przekształcone w Association Technique Maritime et Aéronautique – ATMA) powołane zostało do życia w 1889 roku, celem wspierania rozwoju nauki i techmologii w zakresie architektury, inżynierii i przemysłu morskiego.

Photo 4

Objective3: composition techniques

4. Backgrounds: it very good to have a good looking background in a photo because it keeps the attention on the main objects in a photo instead of a distracting background that may ruin the photo. The photo demonstrates background because the background adds to the photo and makes the photo look much better instead of bad background.

6. Pattern: Pattern is a cool part of a photo but not always necessary to make a good photo but when use the photo looks unique and the viewer will be more interested to look at the photo for a longer time. The pattern in the photo is the trees because there all the same colour and there are the same type of trees besides the ones on the left.

Objective 5: Post production

In this photo all I did was brighten the photo

Objective 6: Critique

The strength in this photo is the color of the trees, the grass and the sky and I would fix this photo by getting rid of the few trees on the left.

Objective 7: Photographic styles

Landscape. I used this photo for landscape. The setting I used where: I shot the photo in AV mode, the f stop is in 5.6f, and the shutter speed in 1/3200, the ISO is 400. I used no exposure compensation and my focal length 18.0mm

In olden days, they scored the trees to "trick" them into producing more fruit. They also used leeches to bleed out illness in people. Both techniques have been improved upon.

Learning the essential climbing technique of smearing (using the friction on the sole of your shoe to climb featureless slabs).

Edit 1 Ryan:

Curves adjustment layer on his hat and skin tone, to lighten them in the image.

Black and white filter used. Color manipulation done.

Healing brush to get rid of acne and the facial hair under his lower lip. Also the dust spots on his glasses I got rid of as many as I could.

Just giving this new technique at getting a very shallow DOF a try.

1. Compositional Techniques: Rule of thirds, Symmetry 2. Sustained investigation: How can our modes of transportation describe us without words? 3. Materials: a FEDEX truck, a DSLR camera 4. Idea: The goal of this photo was to catch a FedEx truck in motion. I would say that this photo is not one of my best, but still, the still-life nature of this truck driving speaks to me, and for some reason is very appealing to me. I also cropped the photo so that the corner of the hood of the truck was in the center line of the image. This does not make the photo perfectly symmetrical, but for some reason makes it look really cool, and adds a cool effect.. 5. Process: For this photo, I took a series of photos, and then chose the best one shown above. After, I edited it in lightroom.

At the Ted Adnan's Portraiture Location Lighting Technique Workshop Bagan Lalang, yesterday...

For this photo I edited it in Photoshop first and then Lightroom. In Photoshop I focused solely on skin smoothing and spot heal. I used the spot heal tool to remove any impurities from the skin and get rid of any distracting stray hairs or glitter. Next, I went to the “filter” tab and selected “camera raw filter” which then brought me to the skin tonality adjustments so I adjusted the clarity and texture to give her skin a nice air brushed look. After that I opened the photo into Lightroom and upped the exposure +5, the saturation +3, and the tint -4. I wanted the blue to stand out a little bit more so that’s why I chose those specific adjustments.

Hero Arts card: watercolor paper;distress inks[pumice stone, bundled sage, wild honey for the stamped images] using lightest color first and building up shading with darker colors; water brush and antique linen/bundled sage distress markers using the 'watercolor with markers'technique-wet/more washed color around stamped images. ribbon added for border.
