One project I'm working on, is a large tank, built out of technic parts. This is test bed. The final moc will be a lot larger.
Lego Technic 4x4 drivetrain using 3 differentials.
This arrangement allows the front and back wheels to rotate at different speeds.
It would of been much better if I had a fourth differential!

Lego Technic is a lot harder to photograph than Lego City. City has mini figures which can add some emotion to the image. Lego Technic lacks character. Loading the lorry from a forklift makes it look a little more interesting.
I know the penny on the headshell looks stupid. I needed the extra weight and it seem to work.
If anyone knows where I could find a new knob, please let me know. And please don't say ebay unless you see one for sale.

This is "Merle", so called because of her colour imperfections. The Border Collie pup belonged to a family who joined us on a leg of our sailing trip between Moville and Derry along Lough Foyle into the River Foyle. I instantly fell in love with her; she was full of energy and character and seemed quite at home on the deck of the yacht with her bowl of water and a blanket to lay on.
I uploaded this for a number of reasons; firstly because I thought she was great, secondly because like photography technical perfection doesn't make something beautiful. I was told by the family that she wasn't the breeder's choice of dog and that due to her eye colourings she wouldn't make the final selection of Cruft's either ... none of that matters in my opinion, I photographed her because I thought she was beautiful. Her technical imperfections match the technical imperfections in my photograph; blurry, unconventionally cropped and framed. Perfect. :-)

I joined Deryl & John Friday night for a music/technology get together at John's house. Deryl & John spun records (some of which I hadn't heard in ages) while I played around with my camera.

Members of the Cape Girardeau Fire Department Regional HSRT Technical Rescue Team, including personnel from Jackson Fire Rescue, returned home Tuesday, Sept. 5 from deployment to the Texas Gulf region where they assisted in rescue operations due to the aftermath of Hurricane Harvey.
The team had been deployed to the region on Aug. 30. The 10-person team consisted of water rescue technicians and trained rescue boat operators. While working as a 27-person strike team with personnel from the Kansas City Missouri Fire Department (KCFD) and Central Jackson County Fire Protection District, the team searched 450 homes and rescued 19 civilians and two pets.
The team originally reported to a staging area in College Station, Texas, and then assisted with rescues in both Fort Bend County and Houston near the Interstate 10 corridor and the Buffalo Bayou.
The combined equipment from all four departments on the strike team included five zodiac inflatable rescue boats, three rigid hull boats, and two air-powered boats.
The area in which crews were working will likely remain flooded for 20-30 days as reservoirs are still releasing high volumes of water.
The team on Sept. 4 was released by the Houston Fire Department and Texas State Emergency Management, as rescue operations were contained. Upon returning home, the team is going over equipment and restocking supplies in the event they are needed for deployment to Hurricane Irma’s response efforts.

Came up with this thing one day while shifting through my bucket of technic pieces. It's got a mesmerizing zig-zag motion when lifted. People just can't seem to stop messing with it when they see it.
