Foundation stone, architects Potts, Son and Hennings, 1899-1901 in terracotta Edwardian Baroque. Potts died in 1901 the building is probably the work of Arthur William Hennings (d 1926).
They appear to have been active in Blackpool at the same time: see the Raikes Road Technical School and the Town Hall.
I knew this place as Sunderland Poly's Galen Building, where pharmacy was based.

A new, still growing technical museum in the northern Bohemian city Liberec, which should present the extremely rich industrial and technical history of the region. The exposition halls are growing in the former exposition area, and there are still many unique and very rare exponates hidden in depositories.

This is a technical shot. Technical when it comes to the handling of small children. This is how you do it.
1. Set up your camera on a tripod and correct the zoom and focus.
2. Grab the kid and say you are going to play hide and seek.
3. Place the kid behind a log.
4. Run!
5. Find your position behind the camera.
6. Say: "peekaboo".
7. Wait for the kid to look out from behind the log.
8. Start taking pictures like crazy.
It's getting a bit more crowded, not that that's a bad thing - lots of source material to choose from. (Compare to last year.)

I was given three rolls of 35mm Kodak Technical Pan (expired 2002). I hunted around for a development scheme and finally settled on this. Mostly because I had Rodinal. I'm only posting in case some of you still have some in the fridge.

Rodinal 1+150 for thirteen minutes
Agitate with 30 seconds initial inversions, then 3 inversions at 10 minutes,7 minutes,4 minutes, and 1minute counting down. (every 3 minutes)
Regular stop, fix and hypo.
I used 5ml of Rodinal in 750ml of H2O. That gives less than the recommended 10ml of Rodinal but the negatives really look great (full tone scale).
I had to figure out a curve profile as I felt (and still do) that the midtones were not right. Technical Pan is also a dust magnet; lots of healing tool. Even with Rodinal there is virtually no grain.
