I realized the "read" wires are actually "lead" wires. The standard Asian liquid reversal. In any case, I soldered on some 22 gauge wire to the terminal posts

technically speaking, this is a centipede, even though it looks more like it should be called a decipede: it probably does not have one hundred legs. but it has many legs and moves them constantly at amazing speeds; chasing this thing with a camera (it's pretty large, at least 10cm, at moves very fast and all the time) was not easy, but this shot came out nicely. apparently, these creatures are not lethal, but deliver a nasty bite, so it's a good idea to not get too close when you're chasing one.
My first proper mech. I liked the idea of a completely sealed cockpit as in the Evangelion series, so I went ahead and designed my own. The cockpit pod is removeable (see video), and both the hatch and the neck are sprung with elastic bands to make it a bit more tactile. Somewhat poseable legs, though it only has 2 positions it can stand in.
I have developed a building standard called "Alice-proof". This means that if placed in front of my flatmate Alice, it takes her longer than 90 seconds to break it. This is the first model in a long time that passed that test.

Although originally created for audio nerds, the Technics SL-1200 was adopted by disco and hip hop DJs, clubs, and radio stations. Although hip hop DJs such as Kool Herc and Grandmaster Flash, as well as others, used other Technics models, the brand became the standard based on the art form those DJs created. When other up-and-coming DJs saw these HUGE DJs playing on this brand, they aspired to own Technics turntables. Pioneering DJs are the first brand ambassadors for Technics and got no love from the company (that's why some pioneer DJs won't use the brand).

A Water Strider is able to run on top of water due its ability to distribute its weight over a large area and the surface tension of the water.
My Lego Technic version of this amazing creature is motorised and is able to walk on land using it's long legs, and with the assistance of some extra flotation, it is also able to swim in water.
While this model was designed a few years ago now, it still remains as one of my favourite models that I have built.
This model contains 277 pieces.
