Part of No 1 School of Technical Training (No 1 SoTT) at RAF Cosford, 238 Squadron have a fleet of SEPECAT Jaguar GR1 and GR3 aircraft, which are used for Aircraft Maintenance Mechanic training. With many thanks to staff of 238 Sqn, I was allowed to photograph the Jaguar aircraft at will, predominantly to provide the detail for a forthcoming 1/48 scale 54 Sqn Jaguar that is being made for me, the first aircraft that I worked on at RAF Coltishall after completing my tech training back in the early 80’s.

Additional Information: Unidentified air crash. Snow on ground. Aircraft/ place/ time unknown, William E. Fark served in the 461st bombardment wing of the US Airforce. He was based at Amarillo Air Force Base in Texas, where he became historian of the 461st and wrote a 14 volume history of their exploits.

This Technical Seminar took place in Cape Town, South Africa, 1−3 March 2023. It was organized by the Liaison Office for Southern Africa of the International Social Security Association (ISSA) and hosted by the Department of Social Development (DSD) of South Africa.
The Great Ball Contraption Tower II is the larger sequel to the original GBC Tower from 2019. The tower uses eight Akiyuki modules distributed vertically across two parallel 7-foot structural frames. The tower also uses several additional modules and techniques from many GBC builders from across the globe – an homage to the creativity of the GBC community. The result is a giant MOC with more than 45,000 LEGO® bricks!

Technical difficulty - 01. No skills needed for this one dog stance. Boomer loves a good updraft from the fan. After being away from my boy a couple of weeks and not having many ideas for expressions I thought this would be a change. Boomer's typical expressions are only for food, taking it easy and a good run in the field. He does no exciting ball chasing, dock diving, herding, agility, or cutesy tricks.
He's just a good ole bird dawg, happy to be by someone's side.

This is a little pc section in my living room that is just full of goodies, divided by a 100gal. Odell Aquarium. The famous Tony Graham, "Manhattan" poster, a HUGE Panton wall hanging, White walls Technics speakers, Panton Rya Rug framed, Neevco Chrome Chair, Panton Chromed floor lamp, and a very rare Stilnovo space aged lamp. The Technical Museum, established in 1954 in Zagreb, follows in the tradition of the great science and technology museums of the world. Since 1958 it has occupied the protected wooden buildings designed by architect Marijan Haberle. The buildings were erected initially to house the Zagreb Fair.
PošaljiIn addition to the several thousand items on permanent display, the Museum has some 10,000 items in storage. Among them are objects of everyday use which are typical of the industrial era of the 19th and 20th centuries. The Museum invests a lot of effort into popularising science and technology. It organises lectures on science and technology, presentations and shows, presentations and lectures in the Planetarium, workshops and events such as the Science Festival, and other activities.
Osnovan po uzoru na postojeće velike znanstveno-tehničke muzeje u svijetu, zagrebački Tehnički muzej je općega tipa, to jest složeni muzej znanosti i tehnike za razliku od specijaliziranih tehničkih muzeja koji obrađuju samo pojedino područje tehnike.
Ideja o osnivanju te vrste muzeja u nas potječe još s kraja 19. stoljeća, pa je jedno vrijeme u Zagrebu i postojao Trgovačko-obrtnički muzej, no prava povijest Tehničkoga muzeja započinje 21. prosinca 1954. godine kada je donijeta odluka o njegovu osnivanju. 1959. je važna godina za Muzej jer mu je tada dodijeljena današnja lokacija, na Savskoj cesti 18. Objekti koje je dobio Muzej napravljeni su 1948. godine (projektant Marijan Haberle, dipl. ing. arhitekture) za potrebe Zagrebačkog velesajma. Građeni su od drvenog materijala i bili privremene namjene. Nakon preseljenja Velesajma na novu lokaciju, spomenuti su objekti služili za različite društveno-sportske aktivnosti, a kasnije su dodijeljeni Muzeju, koji se i danas nalazi u njima.
Idejni začetnik osnivanja Tehničkog muzeja bio je sveučilišni profesor dr. sc. Božo Težak, kasnije dugogodišnji predsjednik Savjeta Muzeja, a realizator i prvi direktor Muzeja bio je Predrag Grdenić. Likovni postav izveo je arhitekt Emil Vičić.
Prvi odjeli Tehničkog muzeja Transformacija energije, Prometna sredstva i Rudarstvo otvoreni su za javnost 1963. godine. Potom je 1964. slijedila zbirka Nafta i odjeli Astronautika s planetarijem (1965), Demonstracijski kabinet Nikole Tesle (1976), Osnove poljodjelstva (1981) i Vatrogastvo (1992). Stalni postav Muzeja posljednjih je godina obogaćen i drugim sadržajima, poput Aleje skulptura velikana hrvatskog prirodoslovlja i tehnike u parku na otvorenom (1993). Odjeli Osnove poljodjelstva i Rudarstvo - geologija - nafta prošireni su 1994. oglednim pčelinjim košnicama (apijarijima) i sobom Zemljomjerstvo - katastarski ured, a odjel Transformacije energije zbirkom modela strojeva nazvanom Toplinska moć vatre (1999). Godine 2006. u potpunosti je obnovljen Demonstracijski kabinet Nikole Tesle.
