The technical exchange aimed at strengthening the interaction between stakeholders from key climate-sensitive sectors and climate services providers by increasing awareness, enhancing relevance and enabling use of national and regional data, and historical/monitored/forecast products and tools for the management of drought risk in IGAD countries.

Iris flowers along the river walk in Mishawaka IN. The wind was blowing and I was hand holding this shot. I used Sunny 16- 1 stop due to overcast. With the shutter speed on the Nikon F set at the maximum of 1/1000 s, I used f/8 on the NIkkor 50mm f/2 lens. The bokeh is strong but pleasing with this image. I was after the shallowest depth of field I could achieve within the shutter speed limits. I was also at the close focus limit for the lens. The film was Kodak Ektar 100.
These negatives were processed using Kodak C-41 in a Jobo drum type processor. The lab I use had a failure of their roller transport machine and used the Jobo to run this film. The quality difference is phenomenol, better color, no scratches, much cleaner negatives.
I measured the ceiling in another area of the shop, and it’s 1.5 inches higher. Of course it is. Didn’t think, realized before I installed it, but after I drilled the holes in the stand. Kinda was thinking of a different location, that’s where I measured, but last minute change of plans. Oops 😬 I think this is the best possible setup for my tiny workspace. No problem, wrote a note for things to do tomorrow on the ceiling, so I don’t forget!:)
In all seriousness it’s probably going to be more than o.k. Curtains gotta go, will be sticking some sort of diffusing plastic or something. Molly will sort it out, she said. Good height I think. Belt sander slightly in the way, but I can take the arms out in a jiffy for a bit more room. This fixture is begging for a lathe, they would be the best of friends. Already have ideas, but best to forget them.

Mix and matching audio equipment is always fun but quite costly; especially I bought what I love so it's hard to give up any of them, and I rather fix them if anything went wrong instead of selling them like junks.

Star Trek "Fotonovel"--one of those cheesey books that adds speech bubbles to actual screen shots to provide fans with yet another way to enjoy a favorite movie.
Published by Bantam Books, Copyright 1965, 1977. I had a couple of these books--one for the movie "Grease".
they still make "technical" sets, but they seem to be more focused on enabling "play" by having the moving parts for something that shoots, or a special control that would NEVER have been on it, like a big steering handle coming up out of the middle of the vehicle (see the dune buggy set from a few years ago).
Everett Hansen. Battle Axe Port Orford cedar common garden site. Port Orford cedar technical committee meeting site visit. BLM Roseburg District, Oregon.
Note: "Long-term common garden out-planting study—Short duration tests in low-stress nursery environments are not well suited for the expression of cumulative response to environmental stresses. Long-term field common garden studies are designed to reveal adaptive-based G-x-E interactions for guiding seed zoning and transfer. Four common garden sites were planted in 1996: Humboldt Nursery in McKinleyville, California, Trinity Lake on the Shasta-Trinity National Forest, and Althouse and Chetco on the Siskiyou National Forest. In 1998, an additional site, Battle Axe, was established on the BLM Roseburg District, which expanded the original 266 families to include samples from the northeast part of the range of Port-Orford-cedar."

Jordanville Technical School opened in 1954 on a site between Damper and Gardiner's Creeks (see J 10 in the 1966 Melways). This posed problems not solved until, due to continued housing development, Damper Creek was replaced by a drain and Gardiner's Creek was diverted. This made 'grounds improvement' possible. The technical schools predated the first high school in the area, Ashwood High School opening in 1958. This was perhaps an indication of the perceived social status of the working class Jordanville Housing Commission estate.
Ashwood College was formed in 1988 from the merger of Ashwood High School and Jordanville Technical School. The new school was located on the High School site and the Technical School site, across the road, was edeveloped for housing in 1993.
