Today was absolutey gorgeous weather and I took the opportunity to go on a 3.5 mile hike in Picayune Strand State Forest. I have a hobby called geocaching. Being the techie/gadget girl that I am, I like hunting for "treasure" with my gps. Geocaching is world wide and its such a blast!
Today I did what is called a "multi-cache." You are given one set of coordinates and you have to find the treasure, which in turn gives you another set of coordinates, and so on. This one had five stages. I didn't have any paper, so I had to write the instructions on my hand. In the end, I found the "treasure," in this case, an ammo can. Once you find the cache, you sign the log to say "I was here." Sometimes, there will be trade items inside, as well as special coins for tracking and something called travel bugs. Travel bugs are in the shape of a dog tag and are meant to travel from cache to cache. Sometimes they have a mission, such as, "I want to visit every state capital in the country." Then people will take them to a cache near their state capital, then the next person, and so on...
If you're looking for a fun hobby that takes you to places you would otherwise not visit, then you should try it! If you want to learn more, go to geocaching.com. Type in your zip code and you'll be amazed how many are close to you.
OK, if you're of the techie sort, read no more. This is for tech-dummie like myself.
Ever since the new flickr roll-out, there has been lots of complaints about it being very slow when fetching photos, and that some users are also having difficulties editing the Cover Banner photo.
Off flickr, I recently couldn't edit my Google Blog on banking history anymore. That prompted me to ask my work place's IT help, and he suggested that I try using Goolge Chrome as the interent browser (I was using the old Internet Explorer 8.0).
Oh man! What a miracle, the photo loading is much much faster when I use Google Chrome rather than the old Internet Explorer 8, and now I can edit my Cover Banner photo, and also edit my Google blog again.
So here is a little tip, if you want to make flickr faster, try using Google Chrome. Installation takes a few minutes even for a tech-dummie like me. If I could do it, anyone can. Download it from here:

Although I'm not accustomed to post these kind of images (screenshots), I wanted to tell ya how pretty I find this woman, it's not exactly the kind of girl you will define as "beautiful" but rather smart-looking.. God I love how her neckless suits her! :-)

Alex took me out to a suprise dinner at the Noodle Shop to present me with my engagement ring. We got all dressed up and had a lovely (and tasty!) dinner, after which he subtly got down on one knee and proposed again. It was all very mellow (thank you honey!) and nice. :)
It can be almost black looking or catch the light and pop blue. :D

I loved this museum, I think I spent 5 hours here, including lunch. If you´re a geek or non techie, it doesn´t matter. Everything from the birth of the computer to todays smartphones are gathered here.
Requested by my oldest son who is 17.For those that don't know,Droid's mascot is usually a green robot but when they release a new version of their operating system it has a new theme each time. This one is called Ice Cream Sandwich(released Oct,2011).I hope I explained all this right...if I didn't I'm sure I'll be "enlightened" by my son:o)
Made from White and Brown fleece. The "wrapper" is a vintage linen fabric(the bottom looks like it was folded like a real wrapper). The inside of the sandwich is High Density foam that I cut to fit.The antenna are stuffed with Poly-fil.
This took a zillion hours(really 5-6) to make since I had to make my own patterns.

He's programmed to return up to 2 items of your choice at one time! hey he's small and that's a lot for a small bot!
This is Henry. He's a techie guy - he puts together audio and video systems and he lives in Massachusetts. I just love this portrait of him.
