A model from Kane et al (2004) that suggests reflective practice is the process through which excellent teachers integrate the various dimensions of tertiary teaching.
Will be used in a blog post davidtjones.wordpress.com/2009/01/29/good-teaching-is-not...

I've been thinking about the role of the teacher in a hybrid class where the students use individual blogs as thinking tools and where they interact with each other. The most valuable interactions and a lot of learning happens in the middle box (online, in the blogosphere) and yet teachers tend to confine themselves only to the first and the last stage of this process.
I believe that the teacher should be involved in the middle stage as much as possible.

Volunteer Guatemala Quetzaltenango: Teaching Program: July 2013: Anna M'Gucken: "This experience provided me with a great opportunity to really learn more about another culture, and opened my eyes a lot of new things and perspectives. I am so glad to have been able to volunteer and live with a host family and take Spanish lessons, it made the travel experience sooo much more valuable".

My laptop has become a significant part of my life since becoming a Clemson student. I use it for my school work, to keep in touch with both old and new friends, and to distract myself from the many things that I need to get done. Needless to say, I have gotten to spend a lot of time with my computer these past few years.
Lorien Foote, associate professor of history at UCA, was recently given the university's Teaching Excellence award.
Don't panic. Secure your towel. I will not harm your children.
For those that don't know me, I attended teacher's college last year. Decided not to start teaching right away, so I waited to pick up my official certification from the Ontario College of Teachers in hopes that the "Provisional" bit would disappear. It doesn't mean anything other than one provincial government not being entirely sure about a previous government's standardized test. It's bollocks anyway.
The paper work had been filled out for awhile, and the dues paid. They were mostly waiting for my transcripts to come in from the university. Whoo, official documents.
