THE TEACHING OF THE DONKEY
One day a farmer’s donkey fell into a well. The animal cried loudly for hours, while the farmer tried to find something to do to get him out.
Finally, the farmer decided that the donkey was old and the well was already dry and needed to be covered anyway; that it really wasn't worth pulling the donkey out of the well.
He invited all his neighbours to come help him. They each grabbed a shovel and began to throw dirt into the well.
The donkey realized what was happening and cried horribly loud. Then, to everyone's surprise, he quieted down after a few shovelfuls of dirt.
The farmer finally looked down into the well and was amazed at what he saw... with each shovelful of dirt, the donkey was doing something incredible: It was_

My laptop has become a significant part of my life since becoming a Clemson student. I use it for my school work, to keep in touch with both old and new friends, and to distract myself from the many things that I need to get done. Needless to say, I have gotten to spend a lot of time with my computer these past few years.

Don't panic. Secure your towel. I will not harm your children.
For those that don't know me, I attended teacher's college last year. Decided not to start teaching right away, so I waited to pick up my official certification from the Ontario College of Teachers in hopes that the "Provisional" bit would disappear. It doesn't mean anything other than one provincial government not being entirely sure about a previous government's standardized test. It's bollocks anyway.
The paper work had been filled out for awhile, and the dues paid. They were mostly waiting for my transcripts to come in from the university. Whoo, official documents.

At Children's Bookshop & Teaching Supplies, you can get all sorts of educational material for kids. We bought Juliana a magnetic puzzle map of the United States and she is learning quite well, so far. For example, I'll ask her where she was born. She'll point to Texas, then say it, and then put it on the right spot on the map. Genius girl right here.
Volunteer Uganda 2014 Teaching and Orphanage program
Volunteer in one of two local orphanages in the Wakiso district, located outside of the city of Kampala. The village orphanage and school not only provide a home and safe haven this is where the children have classes.
Most of these children have lost parents to HIV/Aids. Some have been abandoned, and they know abuse, hunger and fear. The orphanage strives to provide a better future for some of the most vulnerable children in Uganda. As a volunteer, you will primarily assist with the daily care of the kids; getting them ready for school, brushing teeth, reading to them. After-school activates you can play games, arrange activities, create arts & crafts projects and share your time and caring with these wonderful children.
Prior experience not necessary, volunteers should have a lot of patience, an open mind and a sense of compassion. The children range in age from 3yrs-13yrs old.
