TCDD 46213, with coaches from a World Steam "Skyliner" tour, on board the Tatvan to Van train ferry. A steam loco on a ferry was rather rare by this date.We spent the overnight trip in the coaches.

Assignment 1. High key. The "key" of an image describes the nature of the tones presented. In a High key image most of the tones will be brighter than middle gray. Bright background, bright subject, and the dark tones take on a supernatural power to highlight what you want to show.

Istanbul Sirkeci Terminal, also known as İstanbul Terminal, (Turkish: Sirkeci Garı) is a terminus main station of the Turkish State Railways (TCDD) in Sirkeci, on the European part of Istanbul, Turkey. International, domestic and regional trains running westwards depart from this station which was inaugurated as the terminus of the Orient Express. This is the main grand entrance to this historic building, which is now the side entrance. The main entrance to the station is the plain Jane dull entrance you saw in previous pictures. TCDD DE 33 029 at Tekirdağ about to work the PTG "Great Bulgarian (& Greece) Track Bash 4". This branch opened in 2010 and had a passenger service for perhaps 6 months before it was withdrawn.

DE22 043 arrives at Ankara on the 'Doğu Ekspresi' (the previous day's 08.00 Kars - Ankara) a respectable 75mins late.
DE24 351 on the 07.05 Elazig-Tatvan mixed train, waits in the loop at the remote station of Turna. The freight wagons at the very rear of the train (mainly flat wagons) are just visible behind the trees.
