The current methods for preparing fast food are less likely to be found in cookbooks than in trade journals such as Food Technologist and Food Engineering. Aside from the salad greens and tomatoes, most fast food is delivered to the restaurant already frozen, canned, dehydrated, or freeze-dried. A fast food kitchen is merely the final stage in a vast and highly complex system of mass production. Foods that may look familiar have in fact been completely reformulated. What we eat has changed more in the last forty years than in the previous forty thousand. Like Cheyenne Mountain, today’s fast food conceals remarkable technological advances behind an ordinary-looking façade. Much of the taste and aroma of American fast food, for example, is now manufactured at a series of large chemical plants off the New Jersey Turnpike.

Day 70.
Skittles. Back in the day I seem to remember the colours being alot more vivid, and you'd get a buzz from all the e-numbers and artificial colours and additives.
I'm not saying that was a good thing unless you liked watching your kids climbing the walls, but I miss the colours! I think there are 5 basic ones here - yellow, orange, purple, red and green. I want to other bright ones back!
On a side note, these are yet another thing that I can't eat on my boring diet (but guess what? I had a handful anyway! And they were good).
So recently I have been in love with colors and macro. But the lighting in my house is just not conducive for shooting macro. So I pulled out the starter photo studio kit that has been napping in its room and started playing. I love it! Expect to see more macro shots moving forward. This is Skittles Blenders btw. I don't know what exactly is blended but they taste pretty good.

No; I am not an alcoholic... I am a liquor connoisseur - trust me. This recipe takes time, effort, and the ability to have a good time - with of course the vodka. I made this with a friend of mine who absolutely loves candy and to party (I mean hey, who doesn't??)
Did you know we have a candy machine? We do! It only accepts dollar coins, all of which are used by Belle to eat Skittles during working hours. So bring your own dollar coins.
A Rather nice snow bear created by one of my colleagues, sits on the platforms of Purley watching the trains pass. Sadly he too will have a harsh end like the Snowman from the animated tale, "The Snowman"

Also...this was probably the best part of the photo walk for me. After Christina and I took about a hundred pictures each of the rainbow(s) created by the fountain, I set my stuff down and stood under the spray for a couple of minutes.
It....was....amazing! I mean, by 10am it was already 100+ heat index. And I am a delicate northern flower (*guffaw*). But it was a nice mid-walk cool down.
(especially since the water fountain later found was nothing but a tease)

I'm a big fan of sweets (AKA candy, lollies etc). Yeah I like chocolate but I could probably go so far as to say I'd rather give up chocolate, crisps and maybe even alcohol (hold on, did I just say that?) than go without sugary yummy sweets.
Skittles don't exactly fit in with my Lite and Easy regime, but what the hell!!
