This is a Skittles livery Deco Delivery van in the 2013 Hot Wheels "Pop Culture" (formerly "Retro Brands") series Mars sub-series on a plate of actual Skittles.
I like Skittles, I like Hot Wheels with logos, and I like "Hot Wheels rainbows", so this one fits nicely in my collection.
Also, the yellow fenders on a red vehicle in front remind me of a reverse-colour version of Noddy's car.
With their slogan being 'Taste the rainbow' what better sweets to do tongue painting with than Skittles!
It's amazing how hard it is to get a "random" shot of a handful of sweets. Without fail, the human eye seems to bunch together colours and see patterns. Meh.
Note the wonderful blue sweets - clearly these are an import - us Brits can't be trusted with blue food :(
From my wifes baby shower these little characters were decorating the serving table and just happen to catch my eye with the line up of different colors. Nothing special but good things come in small packages. :)
(taste the rainbow)
I was eating Skittles. And then somehow this happened. I don't understand my own creative process sometimes.
Well holy happy goodness! I made Explore (for the first time of my second 365) Go me with #120. :)
I love, love, love the Tribute Challenge, it gives me a chance to have a really good look through someone's photostream, add new contacts, and get a bit creative. I always offer to do extras too, because it's my favourite challenge! If you haven't signed up for one, then do, it's such fun.
Anyway, imagine my happiness when I got an extra tribute to do, none other than the fabulous Bond Girly. Choosing a shot was very difficult, given the cornucopia of fab stuff, and I initially thought I'd do a splashing welly shot, but the sub zero temperatures have made standing water a bit tricky to find, so I decided on tributing this lovely picture (below) of Oli in a ball pool. My kids are a bit big for ball pools, but thankfully Buzz stepped in to save the day!
Continuing the theme with the fairy lights bokeh. Now I'm starting to think I don't need Christmas as an excuse to put them up. So much photographic fun to be had with them.
Maybe they will come out several times during the year................................ :-))
Needless to say, I have now eaten all the skittles! (and the smarties!) :-))
the weather of raindrops got reflected rainbow is up the sky at outdoors of the yard area and outdoors is stunned and amazing of the sunlight hit the outdoors area and outdoors need is looking sharp of the nature for the temperature weather of the natural outdoors sunlight
Tasty rainbow!
Bright vintage pink and yellow wood beads. Not just old, very well made and nearly impossible to find.
Bright orange wood beads are not vintage, but blend perfectly in this rainbow macrame hanging planter.
Handmade with small size natural hemp.
From the 1" shiny brass ring, it is made with rows of Chinese crown knotting and 4 strands of swirly twisting sinnets.
Shown here with a 4" x 4.5" glass mosaic planter.
Total length is 36". It is about 25" to the bottom of the pot.
This one took me about 3 hours to make since the hemp is so small & requires much more knotting to achieve the length.
So fun!
sooc. I thought this was fun. That's it for tonight. I'll upload actual exposure ones in the morning :) but for now I'm gonna freak out, because I think I somehow got that glowstick stuff in my mouth. not good.
Week 6 - Artistic: Candy
(Took several takes and several iterations of finding Skittles under the nearby couch to finally settle on a handful of shots I liked. Who knew they could bounce so high??).
ISO 800, f/2.8, 1/200 sec, 50 mm, AF set to manual. Used two continuous softbox lights, one up above the glass on the left, and the other close and to the right of the glass.

See the Rainbow.......Taste The Rainbow - SKITTLES
My son said I needed to buy a bag of the sour skittles just so I could include the blue in it. LOL
CU Assignment - The Rainbow
I guess this would work for The Food assignment as well huh?
Today was yet another day when I just had no clue what to do for 366. I had to keep telling myself not to start stressing about it. Anyway, I've had these Skittles in the kitchen for ages - amazingly uneaten! This was one of a number of shots and the one that made the grade.
I really want to get some nice backgrounds to start using for shots like this.
I'm having a bit of a cutesy (or not, whichever way you look at it) phase at the moment where I feel compelled to jazz things up with borders and words. I'm just scared that I may not ever be able to go back to "normal".
n.b. most Skittles were eaten in the making of this photo. They are not good for me but ever so yum!
n.b.2. I am still wondering which is the best 366 group, does anyone know? I don't really like posting to so many groups but I am still finding my way.
For the Pop Culture Club Group.
Cyndi Lauper, True Colors
And may I just say that I had this Album... as in... Vinyl!!!! I played it on my Smurfs Record Player. Yup. Cause even in the early 80s, under 10 years old, I was a cheesey ass kid!!
My Skittles Stats blog has been going on since April of 2009. Come see the crazy line after line of Skittles Stats.
Hmmmm why am I still awake?
Haha I remember when I took this picture, I took a few shots with the skittles and candy bag

I still had that problem when I uploaded this haha

Hmmm what should I do today?

I might just catch up with all these old pictures haha
The Danbos trekked all day in search of the elusive end of the rainbow. As the sun was beginning to set, they stumbled upon it. In their exhaustion, one collapsed near the source of the rainbow while the other stood and gave thanks to whoever was watching from above.
I just thought such cute characters needed a cute story to go with them :)
