LAN party hosted by Mr Lachlan. Lots more peeps than I expected, we ended up filling this switch then some. Liked this shot with the focus at the front because the lights gain more and more bokeh toward the back of the photo. No noise reduction, liked it messy.

I was finally able to get my testing PC set up. Its an HP tower running Windows XP/IE6. I'm using VMWare Player to test the new template in XP/IE7, Win2000/IE6, and Linux/Firefox.
I gave up on trying to get the KVM switch to work. Instead, I plugged the tower's VGA into my monitor's second input, allowing me to easily switch between the two. Sure, I'm stuck with two keyboards and two mice, but its not the end of the world.
These are the gears atop a switch stand in the storage area at the National Railroad Museum in Green Bay, WI.
When you turn the handle that is connected to the gear on the left it turns the gear on the right that is connected to the track and changes the path of travel.
Works great, two 10/100 bays installed.
Just a bit of overkill for me now. Looking for a good home.

The old switch off the main track awaits the scrapper. The new main track will go just under the right-hand rail of the turnout. A new signal cantilever was installed a few weeks ago to control the new mains and a side track. The double track is part of the north end Sounder "expansion" project, eliminating the single-track segments between King Street and Everett. The new 2nd main in Interbay Yard will increase mobility though the yard and allow trains to move faster.

switch on 2 was today and went really well. We're delighted with her particularly as there has been some response to sounds already.
Well done eleanor you're diong so well.
We have a lot to learn about looking after them and the like but we'll succeed as I'm sure the benefits will out weigh the faffing hands down!
