Having just crossed West Grand Blvd., this CSX GP38-3 (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/EMD_GP38-2#Rebuilds) is seen pushing two cars into the area just down river from the Ambassador Bridge.
This area used to be quite extensively covered by rail, including the Wabash and Pere Marquette boat yards, the Union Belt of Detroit's 21st Street Engine Terminal as well as the coach yard for the Fort Street Union Depot.
Very little of this infrastructure is still in existence today.

I think the reason the motor didn't work is dirty contacts. I filed and then polished the contacts with 600 grit emery paper.

Utah Railway switched their RUT211 yard job with this bizarre lashup on August 30 2018 - when a number of people showed up to photograph it, the crew called out over the radio "An amber alert has been issued for the SD50 with the BNSF leader".
