No one wants criminals or the mentally insane from having firearms. But why do we prohibit honorable citizens, and especially those who have served our country, from being able to legally carry concealed weapons in defense of themselves and their families?

We give a heartfelt thank you to all the men and women who have served in the armed forces. Their sacrifices have insured our freedom and way of life.
This will be the first Veteran's Day without a veteran from WWI, the Great War, or the war to end all wars. The last remaining WWI veteran in the United States died this year. Sadly the number of WWII veterans are thinning out, take time and thank them for their service while we are still able to give them our appreciation.

Is your loved one serving in Afghanistan? Anyone who has survived a deployment knows it's not half of your heart that's gone - it's all of it!
Light and dark desert browns spell out this simple yet popular design reading "All of my heart is in Afghanistan." Great for any branch of service, and many members of the family!
Who is this directed at? I'm assuming "safe" is meant in a relative sense, because wouldn't keeping the soldier out of conflict keep the soldier the safest? That would mean the soldier isn't a soldier at all, which makes this ribbon self-contradictory.

Support Our Troops by Keeping Them Home! The war is unnecessary and unjustified! The war is immoral. The war is illegal.

FLAGS: Governor orders flags at half-staff today
By Herald staff

www.tri-cityherald.com/945/story/149767.html
Washington Gov. Chris Gregoire has directed that flags at all Washington State agency facilities be lowered to half-staff today in memory of U.S. Marine Corps Lance Cpl. Dustin Lee Canham of Lake Stevens who died in Djibouti, on March 23.
She has also directed that flags be lowered to half-staff Thursday in memory of U.S. Marine Corps Maj. William Gregory Hall of Seattle who was killed in action in Fallujah, Iraq, on March 30.
Flags should remain at half-staff until sunset Thursday or first thing Friday morning.
Congress recently amended the U.S. Flag Code to give the governor authority to lower flags when a Washingtonian in the military is killed in the line of duty.
The code now reads: “In the event of the death of a present or former official of the government of any state, territory, or possession of the United States, or the death of a member of the Armed Forces from any state, territory, or possession who dies while serving on active duty the governor of that state, territory, or possession may proclaim that the national flag shall be flown at half-staff.”

These are examples of the kind of sundress that you do not have to drive 90 miles to purchase for the reasonable price of $38.88. Also they support our troops.
