Suarez-Diaz and Solnit were in Olympia for organizing workshops, and to promote Army of None, a new book about truth in military recruiting that Solnit co-authored with Army veteran Aimee Allison.

We can support and protect our Soldiers in uniform, the People of Iraq, and ourselves by opposing, and directly resisting, reckless and wrongful foreign policy.

Photos from maternity photo shoot this morning. They were taken at the Chinese Tea Garden in Brackenridge Park. The beautiful mom-to-be is my eldest daugher...even though I am waaay too young to become a grandma!

A regular sight across Japan the indigenous T-4 is currently scarcely seen on the move under its own steam due to engine issues that are plaguing the fleet, just 3 T-4s are actively flying from Iruma as of November 2019. 46-5719 however, flew extensively during 3 visits to Iruma.

This came out of fucking nowhere. Originally just wanted to make Lucio, but then I made Ana, and upgraded Mercy, and here we are.

Thank you so much Lucas, for being my friend and being there for me unconditionally. I couldn't manage my way through this crazy SLife without you.

I know it doesn't look like I've made much progress for having an entire free day to do it, but it's been a very frustrating build experience. I actually built those segments that loop under the armpits, only to find that I didn't make the loop exaggerated enough, and whenever I rested my arms by my sides, they broke under the pressure. Also, things just started to fall apart in general, such as a the entire bottom of the backpack, and the joints between the front and back of the suit also started cracking, so I had to resort to some extreme measures that I am ashamed of: I used glue, LOTS of glue, and so far it's worked pretty well. But I guess I can't do a good balance of aesthetics and durability. Well, you should DEFINiTELY expect this to be done by tomorrow. I swear.

Sometimes it pays to look not only more closely at nature's creations, but also at a different perspective. This daisy possesses a carefully "engineered" support structure that turns its face into the sun.

While searching through old images, I came upon one of my fav shots. A local firefighter calling in to the station for more manpower yo fight the flames from a burning car during a mick drill.

Some scaffolding has gone up for the next level of our new garage walls.

Life is to be lived. If you have to support yourself, you had bloody well better find some way that is going to be interesting. And you don't do that by sitting around.

I am a very serious person...

...99.9% of the time.

I despise chickens and all chicken-related things (books, humor, art, etc.). Even the sight or mention of a chicken makes me groan inside. Then why in the world would I choose to build this?

Occasionally, when my mind is tired, not knowing what to think or even why to think, I fall into absurdity. In short, I cave. My seriousness leaves, and in its place stands incoherent gibberish. I embrace what I don't like, even if that means chickens.

So in a way, this creation represents the utter nonsense that can spout forth from a brain that really is not thinking clearly.

Speaking of that, Chicken Little is a story about some foolish young fowl who has a piece of something fall on its head (it may be an acorn, or a leaf, or a raindrop; who knows?). It goes berserk and insists that "The sky is falling!!". Thenceforth Chicken Little makes a huge fuss over it and gathers fellow animals to go warn the ruler of the area. The group meets a sly fox (what other kind of fox would there be?), who convinces the gullible animals that the way to the ruler goes right through the fox's lair. They enter the lair and the fox eats them all. (Or, if you like the other versions better, they escape and warn the ruler, but still turn out to be incorrect about the sky.)

So I think that that image of hysteria is what I've captured in this obnoxious little build. Whenever I feel like blurting out whatever my immediate reaction to my circumstances is, this chicken can remind me to always think before I speak, lest I believe the world will end and thereby fulfill my own prophecy through my own ignorance.

Don't worry, I promise that the next creations I submit will be serious in nature. This one is not a new precedent for me.

This chicken is a bauble-head; it has a technic axle as its neck that would need to be flexible if this were to become a set so that the head could wobble. The wings and tail can flap.

And yes, that is a canoe.

And still, I see the wide open beaks in a nest full of young birds.

Do not get fooled by the traditional outside of this church.

The inside is not traditional.

One of the best murals I’ve seen in a long time, maybe ever. It has such wonderful depth and there are actual pieces of rebarb protruding from the artwork. Located near Chico State University and across the street from an awesome New York style pizzeria.

Interesting fact: this is the second version of this mural in the same spot. The building was remodeled, but the company loved the mural so much, they hunted down the artist and requested it be recreated exactly as it was before.

The brick ledge tends to lend support to some people indifference.

WE TEND TO BE THE ONLY THING THAT'S STANDING IN OUR OWN WAY TO WHAT WE REALLY DESIRE BY BEING OUR VERY OWN WORST CRITIC, TURN THAT AROUND AND BECOME YOUR BIGGEST SUPPORTER AND BELIEVE IN YOURSELF BECAUSE YOU DESERVE YOUR OWN PRAISE, YOU ARE DOING THE VERY BEST YOU CAN!! DO IT FOR YOU AND WHAT YOU THINK OF YOURSELF AS YOU GRAB YOUR DREAMS, NOT FOR WHAT OTHERS THINK OF IT BECAUSE THE TRUTH IS, MOST PEOPLE TRY TO DULL YOUR SHINE BECAUSE OF THEIR OWN PERSONAL REASONS AND TRY AND MAKE YOU LESS AWESOME.. DO NOT GIVE ANYONE THIS POWER.. YOU ARE WONDERFUL, YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL AND FIERCE!!

And the award for the best supporting act goes to........

37716 and 37422 outside York Thrall (Holgate) during the evening on Sat 16th December 2023.

These are 2 out of a total of 5 Class 37’s that were included in the line up, following the end of the locomotives use on the 2023 railhead treatment trains based at York. I feel a bit mean referring to these 2 as a mere supporting act. They were of course much more than that, although it's probably fair to say that the majority of attention went the way of the other 3.

The photo shoot was organised by the well respected Network Rail Director Chris Gee, and involved a huge amount of detailed preparation and organisation amongst both DRS and Network Rail, as well as numerous individuals. It was a great success and all of the proceeds raised (£3,000.00) will be donated to Martin House Hospice.

Probably my favorite colors... Now i'm searching some minifigs for match them...

Thank you!

Being alone – doing things is harder.

When I get support, I usually achieve

Much more.

But when am I to find this support and from who

If I cannot ash for it?

And looking at it this way, am I on

the supporting side? Am I a person that

others can ask for support?

Am I stable enough for it?

Or is my own difficulty in asking for help

Is what disables me from supporting others?
