Sunset over Capitol Reef National Park as seen from Sunset Point looking northward, April 27, 2023. The twisted and braided Waterpocket Fold here is a geological wonder. This was the last night of our trip. So long, Capitol Reef, we'll see you next year!
As we ride off into the sunset, I'm ending the photos from the Richmond Virginia park and city adventure. A fun day and a real memory maker (they all are really). Next will be the photos from Harper's Ferry West Virginia, although I may sneak in a bird photo or two! LOL Have a great day everyone. :)

I'm going to be away from Flickrville for a few days, at least until Monday. I'm having an medical procedure done in the morning.
Sunset looking toward Mt Baker (Northern Cascades) from the tower on Mt Constitution (Orcas Island, WA).
I use 'Sunsetting' because if you look on right side of the photo, they are building a new bridge to replace this beauty. The current bridge crosses between Lansing, IA over the river to Wisconsin.
As the year goes by - the view may be destroyed and eventually the bridge. (It is known as Black Hawk Bridge )

Just before sunset of the Marin side of the Golden Gate Bridge. Definitely worth the ride over the bridge. While waiting for the actual sunset, I ended up with some slightly unexpected lens flare.

Sunset from Kaim Hill in Ayrshire.
Having never been up here before I didn't know what view to expect from the summit, so I was shocked to discover how vast it was. Views over Hunterston Power station to Arran and the Cumbrae Isles. You can also see two oil drilling vessels, Ensco Ds8 and Valaris Ds, down on the right that are being stored at the old Cyldeport at the moment.
Kaim Hill itself has a bit of a history being an old millstone quarry many years ago. From what i believe, the ruins in the foreground is whats left of the old millstone quarry office.
