Sunset 15/8/2021 - from our front door in Brighouse, West Yorkshire.
(shown on the weather section of BBC 'Look North' yesterday)
* A second shot from Spurn Point this time looking inland. Spurn is well known as somewhere to see fantastic sunsets . However this evening it was not that spectacular but still rather enjoyable to see . This was taken looking across the Humber estuary towards the East Yorkshire “ mainland “ . There is not a lot of water in the shot just some very wet mudbanks .
If you are interested in the area there is a description of Spurn Point in the text of my previous post
THANKS FOR YOUR VISIT TO MY STREAM.
I WOULD BE VERY GRATEFUL IF YOU COULD NOT FAVE A PHOTO

Sunset on the Volga River in Konakovo. Russia.
The pride and pearl of the Konakovsky district is the Ivankovskoye reservoir. It arose in connection with the construction of the Moscow canal, and was formed as a result of the backwater of the Volga waters by the Ivankovskaya dam. Ivankovskoe reservoir, also known as the Moscow Sea.
The width of the reservoir is 2-5 km, the length is about 30 km.
The reservoir is held by a 9-kilometer dam up to 14 meters high. The canal soldiers poured it with wheelbarrows and manually reinforced it with stones from the outside.
During the construction of the reservoir in 1936, the district town of Korcheva and several dozen surrounding villages, which fell into the flooded zone, were destroyed.
The Moscow Canal originates from the Ivankovskoye Reservoir, supplying fresh water to Moscow and watering the Moskva River. The Ivankovskaya hydroelectric power station operates on the drain of the reservoir. The reservoir is used as a cooling reservoir for a large power plant - Konakovskaya GRES.
In the water area of the reservoir, about three hundred islands were formed, most of which are uninhabited. Recreation centers have been created on the largest islands. On the shores of the reservoir there are many rest houses, boarding houses, pioneer camps and the famous Zavidovsky reserve, which houses one of the residences of the President of the Russian Federation, as well as the Zavidovo recreation complex.

The Red Deer - Cervus elaphus - is one of the largest deer species.
Only the stags (males) have antlers, which start growing in the spring and are shed each year, usually at the end of winter.
This sunset was beautiful, just saw it on my way home but there wasn't anything else but the train to place in the foreground, few minutes more and I had missed the shot :).

This is my first sunset with a telephoto lens, when I was younger I had telephotos for my T90, but never pointed them into the sun to avoid eye injury. Since my return to photography I mostly shoot wide to standard, so this is something different for me.
The sky was beautiful but was not this red, all other colors having been obliterated. Something interesting going on here, always something new to learn.
This is close to SOOC, very slight tweak to light levels and a solid tweak to the exposure on the house to bring it out of the shadows.

Canadian contributes Banff National Park and Jasper National Park to the world but keeps Kananaskis park for us. Kananaskis park is a provincial park, not as famous as Banff and Jasper NPs. But there is comparable Rocky Mountains and lakes. I enjoyed the most while driving along the peaceful and quiet road. Sunset time, the sun kissed the top of the Mountains, went down quickly behind the mountains.
