This storm over Logan County, Colorado was weakening very quickly, but still able to generate quite a bit of lightning.
I've named this one (Almost Sunset)… Looking through my captures, I came across this one of an interesting composition on a moody looking evening. So, I wanted to share it with all of you. I hope you like it! Photography by Dan Seitzinger, Copyright © DMS Studios, DanMar Creations.

Driving in the car, I came across this great sunset! I used my iPhone 5 from the car window to get this photo of what looks like an atomic bomb explosion!

Sunday evening (21.10.12), I was standing out the back having a coldie hoping for the sky to burst into colour. I would not be disappointed so I grabbed my camera and walked swiftly down to the dam. The reflections and colours were just beautiful and I have not added any saturation to the colours of the sunset at all in this image.
I know how it looks like but it is not a bushfire.
I was holding it back for a while considering the severe bushfire season we had here - I was afraid that some people may find it to be "too much".
The original looked more yellow-ish because it was just about half an hour after the sunset.
The form of the clouds made me do this in post-processing - increasing the reds quite much.
I wanted to add a bit more drama to the sunset.
Sunset on Lake Michigan from the dunes / bluffs southwest of the Treat Farm area (which is west of the Tweddle Farm through the woods) in the Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore, Michigan. If you know the dunes, there, to get atop them requires a steep, uphill climb -- but worth it for the view, I think.
