The colours of the sunset that evening were really that spectacular. The wind farm seemed to be right where it should be for this shot. I have not adjusted the colours at all, only adjusting slightly the contrast.
Yet another sunset pic from new years eve.

The one positive of the vicious storms we have been getting in AB this summer is we do get some awesome sunsets after the storms pass.
Sunset, Canaan Valley National Wildlife Refuge, Tucker County, West Virginia. I drove to Canaan Valley the day before the Potomac Highlands photography workshop (Randall Sanger Photography) was to start, a bonus of which was being able to accompany the workshop's leaders, Randy Sanger and Todd Williams, the evening before to scout a possible site for the workshop. Sunset that evening turned out to provide the best sunset or sunrise color of the week. Moreover, we were greeted by an 8-point whitetail buck when we parked to walk to the wetlands area. (If I were shooting this again, I think I would open the lens to f/11 or f/13 to shorten the exposure time and reduce the drift of the clouds.) The refuge, created in 1994 with 86 acres, now has nearly 17,000 acres, nearly half wetlands -- the largest wetlands complex in West Virginia.

The tree line on the horizon is the Lincolnshire coast, about 10 miles away. Usually difficult to see from here but on this particular evening conditions were obviously clear.
