Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, looking west across the intracoastal waterway. The landscape and sunsets here are alien to me; nothing like those in my native south Georgia countryside. This one kind of reminded me of a sunset painted on a blue butterfly wing pendant I cherished as a kid; the orange was so intense you could taste it.

Quick first ride on the bike after tearing my calf muscle last weekend, used the sunset as a test run on the leg and hoped to get some nice sunset shots, didn't go as big as I thought it would but still nice.

During my stay at Kos I accumalted a huge amount of photos and I am finding it hard not to just uploaded them all in one big go, so I am just going to pace myself to allow myself time to come back to each one. This is another sunset shot from the Panorama Bar that allowed me to view a lot. At the far back of the image you can also see the outline of mountains that belong to another neighbouring Greek island. At this position we could see land belong to Kos, this other Greek island and Turkey.
Thanks for viewing this photo. All feedback, comments, views and favourites are hugely appreciated!

Cloud glow above the Arapaho, Albion, Kiowa, and Navajo Peaks, a 4000+ m wall dividing the Pacific and Atlantic drainages. Taken from the "burn meadow" on Niwot Ridge, formed by a 1916 fire that must have occurred in an unusually dry year, as there is usually standing water from springs. The elk were pissed off that I was in their meadow during feeding time, while the mosquitos were happy to feed on my exposed skin...
