A sunset shot from Wick Water Lake, Gloucestershire. Originally a dull sunset shot, but processed to produce some soft golden tones.

A large sun setting over that bridge tower. Is the sun size too big in scale?

During my time in Italy, I had marvelous weather with only about one day of rain. This was wonderful for traveling but not so great for any kind of spectacular cloud effects when trying to shoot sunsets. This sunset was taken off one of the piers in Sorrento in the Bay of Naples.
Happy Easter my friends!
Just developed from a RAW-file. No color processing done in Photoshop (Thanks Cokin!)

Taken off my deck tonight. I've been with the flu for days now and it has been raining for days so about ten minutes before sunset this is what happened!

A stunning sunset on a crisp fall night north of 60. Notice how the pond has a very thin layer of ice on it.
A rare outing for sunset. I took these on Easter Monday, somewhat fitting as the date of Easter, in the Catholic Church, was set at the Synod of Whitby held in the Abbey.
These two posts were taken the same sunset down in Wilson Point, Maryland. One was handheld and the other was a 400 second long exposure on a tripod.
This shot taken with the tripod was at a lower vantage point than the handheld shot posted along with this capture. This shot here was also prior to the red colors being added to the sunset. I really like this with the yellows and the blues. I think right at this time the lighting on th pier really pops the details there with the contrasts to the sky. The 400 second exposure really smooths out the flowing clouds nicely too. Getting their mirror like reflection on the river was an added plus.
