The elclipse was not even close to being a total eclipse here in Minnesota, but the timing with the sunset was awesome!

Happy Earth Day!
~ Glacier National Park, Montana ~
As we sat on the rocky beach the sun started to warm up the clouds which had been gray and uninteresting all evening. The thought was that our sunset photo shoot was looking more like a bust than anything. Yet another reminder for me that when you think it's over, it's not. :)
Hope all my christian friends have a great Easter!
Please take a moment to see this in a larger size. Thanks for looking and all comments are very much appreciated. :)
Summer is here with a blast! rough waves, storm breaking, sun flaring. What more could you ask for ;)
Stormy Solent Sunset
24 hours after the hottest day of the year, we had a huge storm. A house on the Isle of Wight was wrecked after it was hit by lightning during the storm.
I took this a couple of hours before the worst of the lightning started. I didn't want to be on the seafront with a 1.8m tripod with lightning raining down across the Solent.
In this shot, you can see the bank of low cloud rolling in off the sea (from the left) to hide the towering Fawley power station chimney.
The electricity pylons, to the right, give an indication of the height of the power station chimney.
Trees reflected in a wetland on Lummi Island during a lovely sunset.

Watching the sunset from Charlie Young beach in Maui, I was bestowed with the feeling that I really am in paradise. Of course, I suspect that the palm trees that were behind me and the soothing warm water that I was standing in contributed to that feeling, also.
