After a sunshine filled day we went out this evening to catch the beautiful Sunset over Bartley Green ;0)
What a stunning light show!
During my time in Italy, I had marvelous weather with only about one day of rain. This was wonderful for traveling but not so great for any kind of spectacular cloud effects when trying to shoot sunsets. This sunset was taken off one of the piers in Sorrento in the Bay of Naples.
The cirrus clouds seem to be predominating this fall. They sometimes make for quite unusual sunset patterns...
A rare outing for sunset. I took these on Easter Monday, somewhat fitting as the date of Easter, in the Catholic Church, was set at the Synod of Whitby held in the Abbey.

This is the sunset on the weekend in Tewkesbury. I added a 'warming filter' to it in photoshop and I really love the colour this was created.
The sun seemed to dance along the water and became engulfed in a swirl of clouds swirl just before plunging into the Gulf of Mexico.
