Sunset time in the Masai Mara is always a magical time.
With the sun setting the horizon suddenly changes from clear blue to fiery red and if there is a storm close by you will see rainbow of colours all over the skyline.
Whilst on safari we always try and get to a strategic location to place the sun as it is setting for a memorable photograph. This was taken in the Masai Mara during a photography safari.
The snow from winter storm Jonas quit falling in my area about noon on Saturday 23 Jan. Then it took another 5 hours to shovel the 12 to 14 inches of accumulated snow out of my drive and off my deck. So by the time I had a chance to take any pictures it was close to sunset. So this is a sunset series of Snow Storm Jonas taken on a short walk down the road from my house
I was digging through my photo library searching for a particular old photo and I came across this sunset shot that I never shared and it deserved to be shared.
I took this photo on Lake Champlain, I was actually on a boat attending a family wedding. It was a beautiful day! I'm not EXACTLY sure where on the lake I was at the time, but I know I was near Burlington, VT.
It's a shame I didn't shoot RAW at the time. I was still getting into photography using my very first DSLR, the Nikon D60! I loved that camera.
Sometimes it's good to go back and look through your old stuff. You never know what you'll see that you didn't see before.

A truly Texas style sunset erupts over Austin, TX on a late fall evening as motorists head home over the Pennybacker Bridge aka 360 Bridge.
