. . . The sunset tonight was a harbinger of things to come, in that rain, cold, sleet, snow, and more cold were all mentioned as heading our way!
On the bright side, I determined to learn Adobe Lightroom if it kills me, and downloaded and edited this in Creative Cloud tonight! This is only my second picture edited with this program in 2 years. Hopefully, I will have more time to devote to learning this time around . . .
Have a great Friday and weekend Facebook, Flickr, and 500px friends!
Another sunset shot from my favorite spot at Charleson Park in Vancouver, BC. I went to this spot two evenings in a row to capture the setting sun. This one is from the first evening.
Taken last night while walking with Sadie and Betty down at the river.
I hope that eveyone is having a good day. The rain seems to have subsided here in Oregon. Go outside and take pictures.
Thanks to invite from John Behrends I found myself at the Oregon Coast on New Years Eve. This photo was taken 34 minutes after sunset, but sunset color would hang on for another 30 minutes after this. A wonderful end to another wonderful year of photography in the beautiful NW. Indian Beach, Ecola State Park, OR O4593
Industrial Sunset
A sunset over the Fawley Oil Refinery. The flames from the tall chimneys are where impurities are burnt off as part of the processing.
The puff or orange flame, about a third in from the left indicates when that happens.
The dozens of various chimneys hint at the complexity of the operations and processes at the Refinery.
Emissions are very strictly controlled from the Refinery as it is on the edge of the New Forest National Park.
Sunset in my hometown. In the horizon the paradise summer vacation island called Storön can be seen. Many summers have been spend there when I was a kid.

Sunset captured at Attenborough Nature Reserve between Beeston and Long Eaton on the Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire border.
Sunset over the South Downs in West Sussex. The bench providing a great location to watch the sun go down on this summers evening.
