I'm outta here for two weeks - to a country with a great history, a zillion of beautiful islands, lovely people and yummee food. Hopefully with a little time to sunbathe as well... Hazard a guess ;-)?
You all take care until then!

I know its got more important things to do than sunbathe but it certainly looked nice with the sun reflecting from its plumage.

On May 14, 2021, I walked the Bradley Lake trail at Frear Park in Troy, New York, USA. The path is starting to get overgrown with grasses & Garlic Mustard, so I may not be walking it any more this season for fear of deer ticks. The highlight of the walk was seeing sunbathing turtles! It was a gorgeous day--75 degrees, sunny, & a light breeze. The turtles really seemed to be enjoying it! They allowed me quite close before they were willing to leave their perch. Note the reflection! BTW, this is the time of year to watch out for turtles crossing the roads to lay eggs!
