"I became insane, with long intervals of horrible sanity."

This was actually taken earlier than it looks in the day, but the sun was dropping surprisingly quickly !

For the morning sun in all its glory

Greets the day with hope and comfort too

You fill my life with laughter

And somehow you make it better

Ease my troubles that's what you do

There's a love that's divine

And it's yours and it's mine like the sun

And at the end of the day

We should give thanks and pray

To the One, to the One

(Have I told you lately – Van Morrison)

The sun was like a burning ball of fire in the morning sky. I think the smoke from the west coast fires has reached us. The air quality was not good this morning.

Our week of cloud finally gave way to the colder conditions. It certainly felt a lot fresher up there last night - and was lovely to see some light again.

The Midnight Sun at Nordkapp, Norway :)

Happy April Fool's Day

This late day zoomed in capture of the setting sun looked pretty neat with the filtered light through the haze and clouds ... and revealed a sunspot as well there on the sun surface if you look closely.

Captured while in Lubec, Maine.

Caught between two branches the image of the sun is caressed by the tree. Beautiful blues , yellows , and a touch of green colour the sky.

Sun makes last appearance before a snowstorm moves in. Photo taken from Dillon, CO.

Pulled over and took this sun snap on my way to Upton Yesterday morning

Barely perceptible halo and accompanying dogs at 90 degrees either side.

The beauty and tranquility of being on a beach to witness a sunrise, makes the early starts worth it.

Good Morning Sydney - Never shoot straight in to the Sun. No Solar Eclipse here in Oz, but our friends in the States are getting some amazing looks :).

Fall is coming to Michigan.

After finishing the lessons in Scott Kelby's "7-Point System for Adobe Photoshop CS3", I had to go back and revisit some of my older stuff.

I started with this JPG image, adjusted the foreground using Camera RAW and then made another image in Camera RAW and adjusted the sky.

I merged the two images in Photoshop and then darkened the sky, lightened the foreground, desaturated the blues and yellows a tad, etc.

It's not remotely realistic. The sky is pretty dark for an image that's looking right at the sun.

Oh... and if it looks familiar, it's because I did another HDR Version months ago.
