Grace: Taken by Megan

Christmas is nearly upon us but somehow this photo looks more summery than wintery! It's been a while since Meg and I have met to take photos which hopefully we will change soon. Hope you're having a sweet week!

Every each morning this group of gentlemen gathered seemingly just to converse and wear their hats. They also seemed very well adjusted to photographers, much to my pleasure.

Was great to catch the subtle smile from the character second from the right.

Taken in Lijiang, Yunnan, China.

Sorry friends, this will be post and run for now. But will visit your photo streams at later time . :)

I wish you all well and have a great weekend.

Just some thoughts to share with, perhaps bizarre to

most of you .....

If you don't have the divine protection of God through the covering of the sacrificial blood of Jesus, you are

a mincemeat !!! Anybody who uses witchcraft against you to destroy you through any means, your marriage your relationships, your health, your jobs / finances, you name it, they will get you quickly ! There is ever increasing darkness in the world . Plead for the protection of God around you and your family, your pets, your loves ones, your properties in the name of Jesus.

Leviticus 19: 31

"Do not turn to mediums or seek out spiritists, for you will be defiled by them. I am the LORD your God."

Leviticus 20: 6

"'I will set my face against anyone who turns to mediums and spiritists to prostitute themselves by following them, and I will cut them off from their people. "

Leviticus 18: 10-11

"Let no one be found among you who sacrifices their son or daughter in the fire, who practices divination or sorcery, interprets omens, engages in witchcraft, or casts spells, or who is a medium or spiritist or who consults the dead."

Isaiah 8:9

"When someone tells you to consult mediums and spiritists, who whisper and mutter, should not a people inquire of their God? Why consult the dead on behalf of the living?"

Revelation 21: 8

"But cowards, unbelievers, the corrupt, murderers, the immoral, those who practice witchcraft, idol worshipers, and all liars--their fate is in the fiery lake of burning sulfur. This is the second death."

Jesus offered his life as sacrifice to set us free from any bondage. While we are alive, we can be set free only if we accept Him and in repentance. If we die and haven't had accepted this salvation , that's it, it's eternal damnation. This world is truly fallen, even Jesus himself told us the prince of this world is the devil. The devil will give everything, power wealth, fame etc. so humanity will bow down to him . God Himself gave us a free way to be save, His son, Jesus , to set you free.

Jesus has warned us of famine to come, that's just one of the signs. We've seen great famines before, yet it's not the end, massive ones to come as indicated how governments / elites are making bunkers / storing food propping up survival defence. Our major defence is only from God !

Happy birthday to my friend Patricia. She is so good at subtle textures that I made this one just for her. Patricia, I can think of lots of reasons to celebrate the day. I hope that at least one of them brings you happiness.

Have a look at her terrific photos. here

Una composizione molto bella, romantica ed elegante. La bella ragazza è l'anima di questa immagine, ma è stupendo anche lo sfondo di teneui nebbie e sfumature arancio.

Only subtle changes indicate that this SD50 is no longer identified by its original owner's reporting marks. Without a number change required to fit it into the CSX numbering scheme, this C&O SD50 requires a second look to confirm that it has received one of the better CSX "patch jobs", as seen here in Conrail's Saucon Yard near Bethlehem, Pennsylvania.

The light was really poor this day - very flat. However, it allowed for great crontrasts in the landscape as the sky was the same as the land!

I think The Subtle Knife is my favourite of this trilogy. It moves at a great pace, introduces some heavy multiverse lore into the books and introduces us to Will, who I have a huge soft spot for ever since I played him in a local youth theatre production of the series. Don’t get me wrong, I love all three books, but this one is just special to me.

Ironically, this group isn’t my favourite out of the three I’ve made for the trilogy. As great as this book is it doesn’t really introduce us to a load of new characters – taking place mainly between three different locations – but those we do meet are hugely important. So, let’s get onto them.

From left to right we have:

Spectres - Creatures of Dust; Denizens of the Void - So because I’m lazy these guys are just Dementor figures with different heads. However, part of me is convinced that JK Rowling was inspired by these guys when creating the Dementors, so I guess it’s come full circle now.

Giacomo Paradisi - Bearer of Æsahættr, the Subtle Knife - I could never really picture this guy properly in my mind. Part of me saw him as well dressed and neat, the other gaunt and ragged. So I opted for a combo of the two. I guess living alone in a tower most of your life would have that effect on you, though. I also wish Lego would dual mould those knife pieces, since that piece hardly looks ornate enough to be the Subtle Knife itself. I was going to use the dagger from those old Prince of Persia sets, but it was just too big. Plus it wouldn’t fit in that scabbard piece, so I went for this one. It’s simple, but just about works.

Mrs Coulter - Master Manipulator - Just an upgrade from the last version, really. I went for her look she has when in our world, which is just Queenie’s torso/legs from the Harry Potter CMF plus the head and hair from before. That’s all, really.

Lord Carlo Boreal - Dignitary of the General Oblation Board - Really like this one. I love Ariyon Bakare’s portrayal of him in the show, but I just can’t get the image I have of him from reading the book out of my mind. Those Harry Potter pieces really come in handy, don’t they?

Lyra Silvertongue - Storyteller; Traveller between Worlds - Seen here in her outfit she wears while in Cittàgazze. Again, not really much to say about this one. I do like this version more than the last, though.

Will Parry - A Child of our World; a Murderer - Much like the first version of Lyra, a remarkably simple figure for a hugely important character. But then again, his whole thing in the books is being able to blend in easily, so I guess the simplicity works. I opted for medium legs to distinguish him from Lyra, despite them being more or less the same age in the books, with the addition of Chief O’Hara’s hips from the Lego Batman Movie figure. He’s also described as having thick eyebrows, hence the usage of Ezra’s head here. I think it works.

Dr Mary Malone - Dark Matter Physicist - From the moment I first saw the torso/legs of the Ninjago scientist lady, I knew I one day wanted to use them for Mary. It’s a shame the top of the torso shows yellow skin, but that’s nothing a scarf can’t fix. I see it being something she’d wear though, so I think it works. She’s said to have short dark hair in the books, so I played around with a few different pieces until I ended up with this one. I’d have preferred for her to have glasses, but unfortunately I don’t own any suitable flesh female heads that have them.

Jopari - Accidental Traveller of the Multiverse; a Shaman - My favourite of this lot. I originally wanted to give him Bofur’s hat from the Hobbit sets, but since he already uses his torso I felt it a bit overkill. I always pictured this guy having streaks of white in his hair anyway, so Dr Strange’s felt pretty perfect. The green flower in his hand is to represent bloodmoss, for those wondering. Not that that’s made it much clearer. Also note the window behind him, made from those new DC CMF stand pieces. I love those pieces.

Let me know what you think!

Smaller spillways have so much charm. They are carefree and tend to not show off very much. Often, they remain hidden from most sets of eyes, except mine. I give them their due and I always come away happier to have spent a few hours here. That is the pull of the Sol Duc forest for me.
