Open since 1946. The windmill turns and the lights on it flash.
The sign for "Amish Stuff" cracks me up. Evidently doing a booming biz, as there were cars in and out of the parking lot the whole time I was there.

Baldwin Locomotive Works 0-6-0 locomotive 26 is seen running a North Pole Limited excursion at Steamtown National Historic Site, passing Reading 4-8-4 locomotive 2124 on an adjacent track.
Detail from an unrestored 1962 Rambler Classic Cross Country 400 Station Wagon stuffed under the old Mountain Lodge Hotel neon sign, which was moved from Carnuel just east of Albuquerque, New Mexico to front the (then) recently-opened West Central Route 66 Visitor Center.

Not really relevant here, but: The Mountain Lodge Hotel dated back to the 1940s but burnt down on December 14, 2014. Its beat-up, landmark neon sign survived and was donated to the Center in 2020. It's been restored down to the stupendously period-stereotypical fat mexican miner in a sombrero riding a donkey, adorning the top. Thanks to flickr artist Patricia Henschen, a 2018 pic from before the sign was moved is here.

For MacroMondays theme “Sticky stuff”
My little brain is still on holiday mode and thinking outside the box for this weeks theme was just not happening :) All thinking is kind of sticky at the moment....So this is what I came up with - a spoonful of sticky molasses.
