Fresh minty summer blend stuffed assorted vegetables

This is the stuff that I carry.

I should have mentioned on here earlier - the other exciting thing that happened (besides, oh, our wedding) is that my first published pattern came out! These are called Stuffable Stockings and the pattern is in the November/December 2009 issue of Crochet Today! I had to make three stockings for the magazine, and I didn't get a great shot of the third one before I had to send them off. You can see them all together on the Crochet Today! page here, and you can queue them up on ravelry here.

Toronto Street Art

I've been trying to do some clean-up. I have so much - much too much - old stuff I should get rid of.

Contents of my storage closet. I reorganized the closet, or rather I *organized* it.

There's more than one way to write a book. This is what mine looks like. (jessica esch © 2015)

I found some cheap jersey and made a top of it. Unfinished in the photo (and the lightning sucked so I edited it a bit). I changed it a bit after the photo, fixed the floppy things next to my boobs.

Not teeth! You should have guts to take a bite here.. I was jumping up and down between the ceiling and floor but I ate 3 of them in full ;) hehe! Longtime the buds were tickled :)

I figured I would test the waters in flickr to see how the process works. Anyways, this is one of my many stuffed tigers which I collect. (I don't think I can have too many of these...at least I haven't gotten that far yet.)

I am rather new to Flickr, although I did make a profile, check it out.

comments are always welcome!

The Bear and Moose were sagging badly at a table in the Covington Library, their slouching posture suggested a late night of over indulgence. Reminiscent of what we look like after our Boys "Hockey Trip to Canada" to see the Canucks play.

Naturally, after I started drawing them, a child came over and rearranged the entire scene - "Hey Kid, quit playing with the toys."

I've gone back to using my fountain pen (with my newly learned technique for controlling line weight). It works better on watercolor paper than the Pigma Pens, the down side is the water-soluble ink, no color wash. Always a learning experience.

I have the whole evolution set! The sizes are a little off though. Marshtomp and Swampert are Japanese, and Mudkip is Australian.

At this point I have collected enough headphones that my dinky little stand ran out of space, so I worked with my dad to design a custom, handmade wooden headphone rack that he generously built and shipped to me. The board is from a cedar tree in my hometown, and the pegs are from birch trees outside my childhood bedroom window.

Or 'artery-clogging bacon bombs':

Filling is the scooped zucchini mixed with panko, 1 beaten egg, salt, pepper, cooked bacon, and good parmesan, sauteed in a bit of butter, stuffed into slightly pre-baked hollowed zucchini until golden.

Served as a side to chicken breast with a dijon-tarragon cream sauce, and steamed purple beans (which just turned green anyway).

Fat Kramer cuddles up with some stuffed Christmas toys

Bunch of stuff I got recently.

I went to this Toy/cosplay convention last weekend, and had a great time! I even managed to grab a few stuff (everything in the photo except the tall horse in the back). There were a few more things that I wanted to buy, but I had to limit my spendings. Too bad I couldn't find any MLP's. I was kinda expecting to find at least one.

For sale at Disney Village.

Sheila wanted to see how far out she could go out in her wellingtons.

A new experiment for me, stuffed portobello mushrooms! It seemed such a good idea, with ingredients like mushrooms, rice, spinach, and cheese, how could it possibly taste bad? Indeed, it was impossible! One of the more delightful dishes I've made, I must say, and one I'll certainly be making again (maybe when portobello are in season and don't cost $10 for 4!). First we brushed the mushrooms with olive oil and put them in the oven to cook for 20 minutes at 415 degrees. The "stuffed" part consists of long grain gluten-free wild brown rice (cooked in a rice cooker), an onion, a few cloves of garlic, a whole bunch of spinach, artichoke hearts, light feta (at 17% it's barely light, but it's still technically "lighter") and light cream cheese. Very simple to make, and it tastes great!
