chilling between adams morgan and the flophouse. this is the second stuffed animal i saw yesterday; the other was a smaller stuffed female lion chilling near salon loule (near lauriol plaza) where i got my hair cut. is this some sort of odd art?

He's been sitting here waiting for this day for awhile now as I started this project over a month ago and he's been sitting here patiently waiting for me to finish him.

Perched on top of 2 rolls of duct tape is a cheap dollar store doll. I cut her hair and created her outfit. She was inadvertently doing that pose, so I thought I'd take the shot. :0)
Oh, and fabric glue smudges.

Dec. 13, 2023: Dozens of stuffed animals are located in trees at the West end of Pepper Tree Playfield in Newbury Park, California. The placement of the toys is a local Christmas tradition that started at least three years ago.
To be fair, it was my birthday a couple days ago. But this is stuff from the last couple of weeks.
I got most of the makeup on some random weekend in September. A trip to Ulta got me a HIP eyeshadow duo (Roaring) and creme eyeliner (Midnight Blue), as well as an Urban Decay 5 mini 24/7 Liners set (this is really a great deal for great products, by the way). Went to the CCO and picked up a MAC blush in Desirous and Liquidlast liner in Inkspill.
At Lush: Got in for the Naked promo and bought Angels on Bare Skin, Gratuitous Violets soap, and Seanick (I'm running out!). Got an Ice Hotel bubbel bar free. Samples of Party On Shower Jelly and Bohemian soap were in as well.
Stopped into Sephora for my free birthday present, the Bliss naked body butter.
I then made the trek out to Basin White at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort. For those who know what Basin is (basically a Lush rip-- er, I mean competitor), Basin White puports itself to be more exclusive and mindful of using more luxurious ingredients. I got 3 bombs (Lemon Drop, Plumeria, and Satsuma) and 2 soaps (Hibiscus and Pumpkin Patch). They're all very fragrant, I can tell you that much. I'm really hoping that the Plumeria bomb is what I've been dreaming of and wishing that Lush would make.
Oh yeah, and I give up on the lighting.
Creating our own circus-themed Nemo in the Squirrel Momma Laboratories seemed like a good idea, until we realized one of our research staff had accidentally used genetic stock from red-bellied piranhas. Rest assured, the responsible employee was asked to turn in their ID card and was then escorted from the building.
4 eggplants
2 T olive oil
½ cup bulgur
1 onion, chopped
3 garlic cloves, minced
½ t oregano
¼ t cinnamon
1/8 t cayenne pepper
28 oz can roasted tomatoes, chopped
1/4 cup Pecorino Romano, grated
2 T pine nuts, toasted
2 t red wine vinegar
2 T fresh parsley
We saw these on Cook's Country, a PBS cooking show done by the same production team as America's Test Kitchen. They sounded really good.
The big secret to these is crisping the potato skins with butter, then filling them with a potato/boursin filling.
They were good - definitely the best stuffed potatoes I've had - but probably not worth the finicky amount of detail. I'd much rather have really good mashed potatoes.
A note - they were even better reheated two days later; what we call the "Casserole Effect".
