This is an American Avocet strolling across Pond 5 at the Riparian Preserve at Water Ranch. I love their coppery plumage during breading season. I thought this one looked rather graceful with it's fluid gate and up-curved bill.

Here's one from the 2015 archives taken at about this time of year. I don't know what kind of blossoms these are. Any ID help is welcome.
