Strobe-light action in the shed, NYE.
Taken on a Fisheye 2, illuminated by a randomly waving strobe light.
I got some new toys. Cheap strobes that do more than I could ever hope they do. Time to get hard core! That's my older brother, Eddie. This is just a quickie.
Taken with a Nikon D40, poverty wizards, and strobe on model's lap pointing up. Location is in a car. The curve at the top is the roof line of the car.
This is a picture of my strobes outsite screen... yea this is all that I can see. Nice. so if I want to call someone I have to do it from memory.
rey brought strobes for me to try out. luckily he has two triggers so we'll be able to share strobes at events if say we're in a reception hall or something. very cool!
this was the result of using them in my living room. it was dark out, but this looks like 10 AM to me.
This was my first time trying stroboscopic photography. I would like to try doing something like this again. It was hard to remain perfectly still while other parts of my body were moving, thus, the blur on my face. I like how the movement of the volleyball was captured. Timing this right was a pain, but like I said, I would like to revisit this technique again.

Flash moved around subject to mimic Strobist 101 lesson - these "pick shots" are black and white versions
Tried a white card to reflect light on a number of shots to create uniform light, otherwise it was just going up and down on power and moving the flash around until things looked interesting.
This is the subject's requested glamor shots pic. Front-left facing flash. Zero constant/ambient light in room - flash only lighting.
