This was shot in the same day as the Cashew Snake, this is my attempt at something more 'stock' like, with a very simple composition and subject.
Shot with a Canon 40D + Sigma 24-70 EX f/2.8 and two strobes with shoot through umbrellas, key front left of camera and fill deep camera right.
Shoots from 2009. Model is Natalie Starr. Makeup by Mimi. Shot in a hotel on Long Island, New York, using remote strobes.

I am having to borrow Grea's flashgun as my 430 EX I doesn't work with the triggers that a great friend from South Africa ( no currently in London ) sent down to me last year as a gift. Thanks G-unit, they work awesome with the 430EX II and the two studio lights that I have as well.
Except for the desaturate ( shot in RAW ) this is SOOC

playing with a couple strobes, teaching a friend the basics. Light with 3/4 lighting from above camera light and a fill light low and slightly to the side, camera right at 2 stops less.
30 second long exposure @ f3.5 used the modelling light function on the flash to allow camera to focus. set camera to 12sec self timer, fired timer, moved to one side, waited for mirror to raise, gave 5 second burst of strobe, then ten seconds wait then 5 seconds strobe... this is what happens. pretty cool!

Monday night, Reid Wolcott and I visted the Vantage Wind Farm.
This was lit manually with a SB-28 blasting at full power every time the blades came around.
