This is my first shot at slave flash. I bought a 430EX today and used it to optically trigger a cheap ebay slave. Upgrading the slave will be my next purchase. I bounced the 430 backwards into the ceiling and I placed the slave behind the counter to the right. It is bounced into a piece of white foam board angled into towards the far left.
A bit of a cheat. The lighting is actually the floodlights effectively multi flashing, strobing, hence the title. It has frozen the riders 4 times in a 2.5 sec. exposure.
Any comments, suggestions, critique welcome

The flower is pretty small in real life, I have no idea what flower this is..any flower enthusiasts about?
If you self strobe in the forest does anyone else see the flash?
On a bush walk I set myself up for a self portrait, as I was Noddy No mates that day!
The view below the overhanging cliff where I was perched was great.. reminds myself to take tripod next time!

Tetanus Express makes a championship 651-foot (198-m) throw at the Bloomington, Indiana Pumpkin Launch, November 5, 2011. The release angle is about 34 +/-1 degree. The release speed is 96 +/-4 mph (43 +/-2 m/s).
I used my Speedlite 270EX flash and a silver reflector. I know there are other pictures that the lighting might be better but this is my fav. of them. I did these pictures at night and the lighting, even with the flash, was difficult but I learned a lot.
It was suggested that I make the watermark less visible and in the line of action, so this should be better

Had a Photoshop class with Tim Buerger the other day.
Worked on some of the photos I did in a previous strobe lesson in Minato Mirai, Yokohama. Now it feels like the lesson is complete... from the shooting to the post-production.
I was never a huge fan of flashes and non-natural light but I really like the results of this class... time to practice!

Someone else took photos on stage--There were a few times I caught his flash, but this is one of the two times I caught it right.
Not sure why he was using a strobe, actually. In my shooting of vaping clouds they are difficult to make distinct when using a strobe, as in the foreground of this shot the ring (perhaps plural rings) blend into the shirt.
E-cigarette vapor is not very reflective, really.
