Last Sat. evening, Oct. 11/12 in Sealy Texas the rain did a lot of damage as Two schools were flooded over night. The schools were reopened on Tuesday but they had to tear a lot of dry wall out & are in process of cleaning up yet.

This was a nasty looking storm. There were tornado warnings south of the city but I didn't hear whether one was actually sighted. We got off with just heavy rain.

Storm seen off Skyline Drive in Shenandoah National Park. Was hoping for a bit more lightning capture, but most of it stuck inside the bulk of the rainfall.

Strong winds from storm Hector hit the Wirral coast at New Brighton.

Looking toward Hadleigh Castle, just over the central ridge. I survived the storm, and swam home...

Here's a picture from a year ago, taken on our way back home from watching the eclipse. We knew traffic would be horrific, so we took a bunch of backroads through southern Illinois up to the bridge over the Wabash River at Vincennes, Indiana. We hit this storm along the way, so I stopped and caught a picture across a soybean field.

It must have been a weird day from a meteorological standpoint.

It's melting fast today, but I managed to take a few shots. Tomorrow, the snow may come.

This is the first of a few photos I shot last night that i will post today or tomorrow. I was amazed at the angle of that cloud. And yes it did hail.

We've had serious storms along the coast, which made me think of one of my personal favourites, this image. It was shot a few years ago and originally called "Dog Days" on the beach.

The photograph was made using my Mamiya 645 Pro camera, with ISO 400 Ilford Delta black and white film, and printed in my dark room. The final print is gorgeous. Pity you can only see on screen.
