Kodak FunSaver Disposable PlastiCam, reloaded with Kodak Gold 200, expired in 2005 but frozen. Home processed C-41. This is a new storm that blew in.
From time to time it seems like a fun thing to do , but I am not sure what I would do if we came across a real storm like the type that moves through Tornado Alley. So far no hail damage on the vehicle. Weather forecasting in Manitoba is not in depth enough to take this seriously.
Ever since ID4, I've expected alien invasions to look like a massive electrical storm...so when I get in the middle of a massive electrical storm, it's hard not to think... :)
Meso here, meso there, meso, meso everywhere!
Some great storms in the Calgary area on July 6, 2014 offered a selection of mesocyclonic supercells. Chased four of them. Here are a few of the early edits.
Shot off Grandview before the golf course was put in. I love the colors and texture of this image that was shot with a 1mp camera a friend gave me
There was really no sign of a storm, but this pic implies there was. I actually shot 3 exposures in black and white, which I've never done before, and then tonemapped it. I couldn't stand that there was NO color, so I gave the sky a hint of blue.
Photoshop from there. Noise Ninja at the end.
Enjoy!
Storm front rolling in. So beautiful and powerful! It's not much more than a thunderstorm, though. I saw a few pieces of hail...
I knew a storm was approaching. It had the smell of a Spring electrical storm. There were only a few streaks of lightning in the sky, and I was not fortunate enough to get any.
This is a shot that I almost overlooked!
I was on Mt. Washington hoping to catch another sunrise but it had all of the makings of a complete dud. It was a pretty dull morning. Overcast. And then I noticed a few clouds coming in. I decided to wait it out and about 20 minutes later, right before a rather impressive storm, I snapped this shot.
