There was a storm a mile or two off the beach at night. I set up exposure for the foreground with a 15 second exposure and it took about 10 exposures to get this.

Chasse très difficile hier, se retrouver sur le seul village D'Eure et Loire ( 28 )avec fête foraine et déviation de plus de 20min... Résultat foudre quand on roule et inter-nuageux une fois à l'arrêt
With tornado watches and warnings all around, we managed to avoid anything destructive, but rewarded with a fabulous sky as we plod westward along with this Cimirron Valley train across the great plains of Kansas toward the Colorado state line.
Some nice clouds rolled into the area tonight. I decided to break out the Canon EOS 7D and Sigma wide angle lens for some shots.
Went for a walk near our daughter's in Scotland. Saw so much damage from that violent wind of Storm Eowyn..!
Deep rooted trees snapped, shallow rooted ones blown over..
Near Bo'ness in Scotland..
From the southern shore of MacDonnell Island looking across the St. Lawrence River at Long Sault, Ontario. The river is dammed just a few KM downstream from here. With gale force winds from the southwest adding to the current of the river, water level rose several feet swamping this park ground.
Such an odd night. The sky was this beautiful orange with menacing clouds above. I ran back inside and grabbed by tripod and my camera. Just as I started shooting the wind picked up like crazy (you can see the dust flying in this shot). I fire off a few frames when I figured I had better get to cover. (A passing bus driver suggested the same). 10 minutes later? It was like nothing had happened.
Last one from the road trip, this is a storm in the desert of West Texas.

Dark clouds move over the Tantramar Marsh, bringing heavy rains and lightning. www.tantramarmarsh.com
Just a random shot I forgot about. I actually got on top of my Jeep for a better view.
I needed something to get your attention, if you become a Facebook Fan you have a chance to win a free matted print. Spread the word, if I make it to 1500 fans, I will give away 2, so you have better odds.

Nice little storm to cool things off after a HOT day! I noticed there was a lot of cloud-to-ground lightning so I drove to the nearest open field to the north to try and capture it.
Taken during Scott Kelby's Worldwide Photowalk. The Sydney Opera House stands almost defiantly against the brewing storm.
Southern Ontario just went through the worst ice storm in many years. Trees some hundreds of years old were destroyed by the weight of the two inch thick ice that encased their branches. So many branches broke under the weight of the ice that entire parks and forests were decimated..
