Cellule en transit sur le Léman

Such an odd night. The sky was this beautiful orange with menacing clouds above. I ran back inside and grabbed by tripod and my camera. Just as I started shooting the wind picked up like crazy (you can see the dust flying in this shot). I fire off a few frames when I figured I had better get to cover. (A passing bus driver suggested the same). 10 minutes later? It was like nothing had happened.

Last one from the road trip, this is a storm in the desert of West Texas.

Dark clouds move over the Tantramar Marsh, bringing heavy rains and lightning. www.tantramarmarsh.com

Just a random shot I forgot about. I actually got on top of my Jeep for a better view.

Fletchers 'Storm King' ventilator at the Bee Hive Mills, Great Lever, Bolton. Many brickworks made a wide range of clay products beyond common bricks and this is just one example. Sadly this is now gone as one of the mills burned down and all has been demolished and replaced with houses.

Nice little storm to cool things off after a HOT day! I noticed there was a lot of cloud-to-ground lightning so I drove to the nearest open field to the north to try and capture it.

Taken during Scott Kelby's Worldwide Photowalk. The Sydney Opera House stands almost defiantly against the brewing storm.

Storm making it's way to Wisconsin. You could hear it rumbling.

Upper 60's today with some good cape and shear in the afternoon produced tornado warned supercells

There was overcast this morning as we started the new year ...It cleared up and was sunny most of the day ...But clouds started moving in again at sunset .

I'm no Weatherman, but I think it's gonna rain shortly.. And it did. 20 minutes after this picture was taken.

Technical: Photomatix HDR merge of 5 Exposures (auto ghost removal needed for the dog on the left) with "Normal" tone-mapping preset - into Lr, re-toned - made into B&W - Darkened by uping the contrast and blacks, taking down the whites too. Also tweaked the exposure down a little. Finally, into Ps to touch up a dust spot.

Last week a friend of mine and I met up Martin to have a second bicycle shooting. The weather was perfect with some clouds and sunshine (interesting sky). But you were able to feel it in the air, a thunder storm was coming. After the shooting we had some beer in Martins garden and we were looking in the sky what was happen there. We saw a silly cloud with lots of thunders inside. What a amazing weather phenomena, it looked like a special effect from a Sifi movie from the 70th. We had the idea to follow this cloud to capture it. But I hadn't the right lens in my pocket. You need a wide open field/area to capture it, Martin maintained. So we drove to the Senne which was very closed by. The Senne is a military training area for the British forces and you are able to drive trough during the opening time. There is a big parade area where we found what we were looking for but the problem was, the silly cloud was gone. What we get was a thunder storm which was coming very closed to that area were we was stayed. After a while and some shots we decided to leave because the wind was blowing the thunder storm in our direction and it is crazy to stay in the middle of a wide open field during a thunder storm ;-)

A dramatic summer storm passes the Gold Coast at sunset

When I was younger, I used to believe that a very violent thunderstorm had the power to change lives. I always was a silly girl.

My only inspiration at the moment is to create, here is a shot near Nafpaktos, that particurlar day it was really grey and colorful.
