Originally I wanted to get out and take photos of the Super Harvest Moon on Sept. 22nd. Instead, a crazy storm passed over and I got to shoot this wicked lightning from our balcony. Powerful and beautiful!
Taken with TIP PX100 in a One Step.
No PS except cleaning up white spots, contrast boost and dodge and burn. The solarization resulted from putting the shot near the heater in the car. : )
There was overcast this morning as we started the new year ...It cleared up and was sunny most of the day ...But clouds started moving in again at sunset .
When I was younger, I used to believe that a very violent thunderstorm had the power to change lives. I always was a silly girl.
My only inspiration at the moment is to create, here is a shot near Nafpaktos, that particurlar day it was really grey and colorful.

This, was taken during a very nasty storm that hit the northeast in the end of October 2006. There was 12-20 foot surf and in some places the waves were crashing across Park Loop Road, in Acadia National Park, Maine. The park was completely shut down because there were a dozen trees down blocking the main road through the park. All the park entrances were gated shut. I had to sneak in a side entrance, and climb over a gate to even get into the park. The island had no power for a couple of days. There were so many telephone polls down that the bridge to the mainland was shut down for a day and a half so nobody could even get off the island. It was awesome! I loved it!
Incoming afternoon storm. Brought a lot of nasty weather with it too. Kinda cool to look at while it was rolling in, Taken May 2017 Commerce City, Colorado via 500px ift.tt/2vMJXKg
