The southern edge of a storm moving southwest. As we were pursuing golden hour light and storm, I saw a side road and took it to find this old farm. I kept shooting, hoping to get the timing just right to catch a rare Eastern Washington lightning bolt, but alas, the rain overtook us and I returned with just one lightning bolted photo...which I will upload later.

This was made along the Trans-Canada Highway going through New Brunswick. It's a wonderful province but for some reason if I'n going to experience foul weather, this is where I get it. One time we missed a tornado by a small margin.
Lightning strike following the diagonal highway neon car light trails overhead. Boulder County Colorado. As always these storms pushed out NE.

Another shot of the storm front that hammered my garden with hail!!! :P Fortunately the damage wasn't too bad...but still tore my plants up a bit! Tis the season....lol
From May 30th, 2010 outside of Enid Oklahoma near the town of Nash. This was shot as the storm was just getting started.
I have storms on the brain… a condition that will not go away...

Half this image already existed in the clouds, all it required was a little cropping, mirroring and increased contrast to complete it.
The storm has broken but the voluminous clouds are slow to clear. As usual in these situations along the SF Peninsula, the clouds pile up against the East Bay hills before fanning out across the San Joaquin Valley. The sunny breaks are what the photographer lives for. For you FaceBookers out there, that's the new Facebook campus in East Menlo Park at the bottom of the screen.
