Big storm in the south of France. Not sure how close it actually was, but I was looking straight at it, and was still seeing the bolt for minutes afterwards.

It must be just about to rain. One minute the sun is shining, but the storm clouds are rolling in. I guess we have about five minutes before it pours with rain.

Or, more appropriately, the after blow: A storm system on its way out of San Francisco leaves surreal layers of clouds and color in its rear view mirror.
Looking southwest from the scenic overlook at Shepard Road and Highway 5 in St Paul. I don't know where that thunderstorm was-- Eden Prairie? Chaska? Belle Plaine? Glencoe? -- but the lightning was intense for a while and it didn't seem to be moving.
