A strong storm had just blown through and the skies behind the hay field where to amazing not to capture. These round bales weigh a lot and it shows when they don't move at all during these powerful storms.
Shot this one down at Wellington Point, looking out over to Stradbroke Island. This storm had some real character. One gentleman who was watching the storm, said he noticed a lot of rotation and thought there was going to be a water spout. Now that would have been cool. !
Number 21 for 52 in 2022 :I didn't expect to see that !
The front gatepost and a fence panel downed by the wind.
We had another storm last night. Not as wild as Thursday's, but enough to get the freaks (like me!) out with their cameras and, inevitably, soaked with rain and sea water. Fall rocks.
Driving back to home a summer day, I came accross this mystical storm.
I parked my car in emergency in the freeway, grabbed my new Sony A7 and shot it. This is located in Auvergne, in the center of France, a volcanic area where I'm proudly from.

Took a ride up to Buttonwood Farms in Griswold, CT this past Saturday evening. This is the third year we have gone up to photograph the sunflower fields they grow for charity. They plant a huge field that is a foreground smack dab in the front of sunset sky. So all that's required for some good images is a sprinkle of good ol Mother Nature's handiwork to complement the pretty foreground with interest in the sky.
Things were not looking promising about 40 minutes prior to this storm passing through. Skies were hazy grey, the sun was not poking through.
But then, a storm built out in the distance and produced this interesting backdrop of rain bands and faint lightning that lasted a good 15-20 minutes. (as most storms are wont to do in CT, they come here to die, and they die fast!).
The sunflowers are up the rest of this week and this coming weekend, so if you have an interest in shooting this be mindful of the weather, clouds are definitely needed for this scene.

This cloud eventually produced a tornado alert at Limon Road in Topeka, Kansas. There was rotation but no touchdown.
This is a second shot of the first storm which turned to head further north - three shot in this series
Bandung is is the capital of West Java province in Indonesia and the country's third largest city by population, The city lies on a river basin surrounded by volcanic mountains. This topography provides a good natural defence system, which was the primary reason for the Dutch East Indies government's plan to move the colony capital from Batavia to Bandung.
I shot this at Pasteur Highway on the way back to Jakarta.
