I took this photo on the day before Thanksgiving. It happened to be a pretty chilly and extremely windy day in our area of Florida, so my wife agreed to head out to the beach with me for a little bit. This is a 2 minute and 30 second exposure of Clearwater Beach's Pier 60 taken during the middle of the day.
Thunder storms, sudden, violent, and short are characteristic of summer, at least around here.

Back in March on a rare evening where we were able to get out with the cameras (ok it was a visit specifically for James' book) we headed up to White Nancy in Bollington. I love this little temple, mainly because it reminds me of Solomon's Temple in my home town, but also because it's one of the very few locations that's on my way home from work.
The weather has been on and off all day, so we chanced a sunset, upon arriving we could see the c,louds rolling in and then we got hit by the most horrendous hail I've ever been out in, it was slicing our faces it was that hard!
Most would have packed up and gone home but given getting out was few and far between at the time, we stuck it out and our perseverance paid off, the most amazing light shone through underneath the low cloud, casting a lovely glow on the side of White Nancy!
I've got to admit it was one of the best outings I've ever had for dramatic light and I'm glad I stopped out to capture it :)

A beautiful storm building offshore from the Paphos coastline late in the afternoon, with the sun setting behind the clouds.
The white car appeared at the right moment....and in the right colour to contrast the rainstorm that was heading its way...with bells on.
