Along Highway 20
Eastern Idaho
06-09-24
Taken (literally, with the camera a few inches above the asphalt) on Highway 20 through Idaho on the way to West Yellowstone. I'd just driven through one of Idaho's fiercest storms, and the clouds were still ominous looking a few hours before sunset.
Pano of a good size storm in the making. Once again just noise and some winds where I was at. Hillsdale, WY.
Just clouds and a little thunder. No rain this time. The clouds would build up and than drift North and East. Temps in the 60's. Nice!
This is a panorama shot from seven vertical images. Enjoy the view!

A scary mesocyclone bears down on a small town in the Texas panhandle April 2019. This was taken with a Nikon D4.
Dark skies suddenly enveloped the Sheboygan riverfront Saturday afternoon. It amazed me how quickly the charter fishing boats returned to dock.
Incoming stormclouds make the sky look very dramatic over this heather landscape. Taken mid august 2022 at National Park Sallandse Heuvelrug near Nijverdal, Netherlands.
The sun was very low, the light running over the field, hitting these farm buildings and trees front on. The shade/shadow at the bottom of the frame was caused by trees behind me. I like the contrast with the dark storm clouds behind.
The sun was trying so hard to break through the storm clouds as I was leaving Phipps Conservatory last week. I had a 50mm on my camera, but at least I got back far enough to catch one of the side domes.
A menacing looking storm above the green fields of the Mures Valley, Romania. View is in northerly direction.
This is the second photo in a serie of four of this amazing storm. The other three have been published before and can be found here on flickr.
