Somewhere on the border of straight panoramic imagery and a bit of Pano-Xtreme. The beauty of a dark, cloud-laden sky after a heavy summer rain was was too much to pass up, so I made this shot with as little "distortion" as possible. I wanted to keep the integrity of the scene, looking to warp it just a bit to give it a slightly Surreal quality.

June has been exceptionally wet and gloomy, but the daisies decorating the fields are a sign of hope that better days are ahead. Actually, I love clouds and I marvel each day at their ever-changing splendor. It's a good thing to appreciate clouds if you live on the Olympic Peninsula in Washington state.
Many, many thanks for the inspiration and friendship of my Flickr friends - you have made some dark days so much brighter - I appreciate all of you so very much!
"Sometimes the greatest storms bring out the greatest beauty ... Life can be a storm, but your hope is a rainbow and your friends and family are the gold."
~ Jodi Ann Bickley

Here's the second shot of our winter outing yesterday. The Sea to Sky Series.

I couldn't do justice here as we were sitting in a high speed Trenitalia and I took this shot from the train windows!
Province of Montespertoli in afternoon light with storm clouds and hills on the horizon!
India is 3 hours and 30 minutes ahead of Italy
This was taken at Fort Myers Beach on the Gulf Coast of Florida. We had just arrived to our vacation house in the late afternoon and I couldn't wait to have a walk on the beach. The walk didn't last long as a storm could be seen brewing to the East. This ominous cloud just hovered over where we were. The rain, thunder and lightening soon followed.
Editors Note From NGYS.....July 13, 2019 // I like Your Shot photographer Iulia Heinle's comment: "Astonishing image, Ann! Love the framing, the presence of the couple walking on the beach, apparently not frightened by the coming storm and the contrast between the menacing cloud and the calmness of the sea! Great work!"
Another one from that lively Sunday two weeks ago where it looks like the cloud is about to knock the Norman church for six! Actually it wasn't stormy, just really interesting cloud formations.
I've been a bit quiet on Flickr and probably will be for a little while yet. From tomorrow I'll be away at a specialised Lyme clinic for a month to have some medical treatment. I must stress it's not critical treatment (like chemo or anything) but just necessary if I'm to get on with my life!
Back home for weekends if I'm good!!
And if I'm up to it, the clinic is very near to one of the best bluebell woods in England, my treatment coinciding with the time they are at their best.
This feels like a good omen. Have a great Sunday x
This is a photo I shot on Texel in the Nederlands. I really liked the mood with the dark clouds and the light, that managed to penetrate them in the distance, with the different layers of sand in the foreground. Even though I shot it completely handheld as the light was disappearing fast, so there was not time to get the tripod out, I felt inspired by Thomas Heaton, at least for the square crop and the mood.
