A sumo wrestling competition we attended in Tokyo. Those tickets were hard to come by, we had to get several months in advance, but it was a fun, and in interesting experience! Japanese sure take these matches seriously. To see how violent this can be, check out my clip here: www.youtube.com/watch?v=u5HvkrwUC70

As I come to the classic Portlock road crossing, i capture NS 811 beginning its trip back to the mines with two EMD yelling through South Norfolk. Nice to see a UP on this train let alone a SD70M. Coal/Hopper trains are quit rare to see with foreign power so this was a nice treat.

Not sure if she was doing Osprey aerobics or what but she walked back and forth and flapped her wings. I do not think she has any eggs up there as she does not stay there all that long. Or maybe making sure no one else tries to claim it.
Today is very rainy, wet and cold, so for my photo of the day I took a picture of the shoelaces on my daughters favourite shoes, Converse Chucks. Sorry its not very exciting.
Would ya' look at that. I built a mecha!
Anyway, this guy has been sitting around my room since before August, and I finally decided it was time to photograph him.
I beefed up the legs and feet significantly from the V1, and I'm really happy with how the turret came out.

Up until a year ago I had a gig playing music every week at Miller's on Charlottesville's Downtown Mall. Can't help but think a little coordinated national strategy and mature messaging could have helped us get through this mess a lot faster.
