We drove up to Sacramento National Wildlife Refuge and didn’t have very high expectations. This being the end of Summer, most wildlife has flown to greener pastures. As we were driving through the auto tour, we spotted this young deer with its mother. They were enjoying the sun and munching on the vegetation. The youngster watched us for a minute then started stomping its hooves as though to scare us off.

So last night as I often do I went out to Fells Point to shoot some local bands. There is this one place called The Waterfront, which often has good bands but is SUPER dark. I am working with management to get permission to do SOME flash work, but I dont have it yet.
Well anyway, last night STOMP decided to pop out from their touring Broadway Play that is playing in Baltimore this week and have some fun with some of the local guys.
Let me just tell you Tuesday in Fells Point is usually dead but these guys had the place JUMPING. all the other bars emptyed out and they came to this bar when they saw what was going on....and let me just say, if how these guys just "played around" was any indication of how good their show is......IM GOING AND SO SHOULD YOU!
It wasnt just the beat and the vibe and the music....it was the intensity, the soul and the fun they brought......the moment they joined in you could feel it, it was HOT HOT HOT.
anyway, i REALLY wish i had better light and could have had much less noise on this, but i had to work with what i had and i LOVE this shot because it really gives you a fell for the mood at this bar last night.....if you were there you know what im talking about.
So don't hang around and be foolish;

On my regular commute from Harrogate to Leeds, I'd looked down from the train to this spot on the banks of the River Wharfe and thought it had some potential.
Helped by the late running and with the weather still fair, I headed down past Warren Farm in my wellies, hoping that the River Wharfe wouldn't have risen too high after Storm Babet.
This won't be to everyone's liking with the parapet hiding the bogies, but I fancied giving it a go, even though it doesn't do justice to the magnificent sweep of Wharfedale Viaduct. It's better seen from up on the hill.
37716 leads 3S29 with 37425 on the rear across Wharfedale Viaduct, near Arthington, the 08.27 York Works to York Works via Hellifield.
With cloud already building in the west, didn't bother with the pursuit to Hellifield and took the spaniels on a Sunday stomp around this landscape instead.
